Just be aware....

Staff polite & helpful as they could, towels & bedsheets were quite clean too!!

Lift not working! Cannot remember being warned when booking! Room allocated was in the loft I guess, low ceiling, uncomfortable for a tall & big lad like myself!! Could have been understandable if was told when booking...TV not working, all channels kept freezing (Roku definitely not great at all!), radiator barely warm (especially during this bad, freezing weather!), kettle had to be plugged in on the floor as no socket near table...no spoon, no soaps... It was an emergency late night booking for me as connection train was cancelled, definitely would have never stayed if not that late with extremely bad/freezing weather outside & wasn't that exhausted already...JUST BE CLEAR AT BOOKING PLEASE TO AVOID SUCH DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!

In short it was incredibly cheap and still not worth it

It was cheap

As said above it was cheap I did expect too much for the price however the room, sheets and shower were all dirty. The mattress didn't even fit the size of the bed I rolled over in the night and flipped the mattress as it was hanging off the edge of the bed. The staff were very inattentive and rude

Disappointingly adequate.

Central location

WiFi in room didn’t work and neither did TV channels. Room not clean, evident when bed moved during the night. No window in room. Bathroom had strange hook built into floor and caught toe and foot repeatedly, decor needs addressing. Stairs up to hotel room inside dirty throughout requiring hoover. I would have been extremely disappointed had I paid any more

Dirty room

We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids, We arrived at 4pm and was given the key to our room, we went straight up to find the beds had not been changed or made, there was 4 bags of rubbish lying around in the room, there was not one light in the room apart from the bathroom so we had to use our flash light on our phone, went down to reception to tell them and the man came up to see for himself and he was also shocked and went on to tell us there are struggling with linen but that dont excuse the mess or no light, he said sorry and went on to say all he could do was give up a refund as there was no other rooms to stay in so we had no choice to leave and go find somewhere else. Very dissapointing

Room, toilet, no proper working internet, bed kept making noise, couldn’t sleep especially when people are walking around the corridor, my door keeps making a noise as if it would open, door handle was faulty. I could go on

The ‘hotel’ is more like a crack den, the hotel stank of cannabis from the minute I walked in right up to the fourth floor. The bed looked like it had been dragged in off the street it was so bad I walked out straight away handing my key back in.

In the centre of town. Linen clean and fresh. Plenty of hot water.

No loo roll, or even loo roll holder! Stained walls (blood/spit?) Hair and bits of loo paper on the bathroom floor and in the bath. Mattress so thin it hurt to sit on let alone lie on. A duvet the same size as the bed (no overhang) and as thin as a blanket. Very run down old hotel that used to be nice 20 years ago.

Perfect location. Unfortunately, my visit to Aberdeen was very short, but I’m definitely going to come back again! Very friendly staff, nice people! Recommend!

Central, cheap

It's a cheap, central hotel - if that's what you're looking for you could do a lot worse. Room was warm, bed was comfy and there was loads of hot water.

Wifi didn't work. On street parking in the town is expensive and staff couldn't offer a reasonable alternative.

The worst experience of any hotel I’ve ever had. Everything is forgivable but feeling unsafe isn’t.

Wouldn’t say I liked anything. Man at the front desk was very friendly and polite. Bed was clean and well made but again just basic plain white bedding nothing like any pictures advertised.

Room was very rough. Looked nothing and I mean nothing like the pictures on booking.com where we booked. Carpet was a mess, odd patches of paint all over the wall. Bathroom looked like a prison bathroom. No shower curtain. Bedside table had oily burn marks all over it. Curtains had burn marks and stains all over them. It was just rough. Would like to clear this by also adding that I am not fussy by any means, we actually have a laugh at things like this in the past when travelling. The thing that’s made all of this stand out more is that we did not feel safe at all throughout the entire stay. First half hour in the room we had someone trying a key in our door along with pushing and turning the door knob( this room had an old fashioned knob with a physical key) no extra latch or chain inside, no peephole. We opened the door and confronted them, they said nothing, turned and walked around the corner. We laughed at this initially. Later around 2am, woken up very suddenly to what I can only describe as a large person throwing all their body weight into the door, knocking super aggressively multiple times and repeatedly banging the door like it was going to cave in. Obviously after this it was very difficult to get back to sleep. In the morning when leaving, no signs of anyone to tell this too, not that we would have probably as we just wanted away.

Neighbour kept slamming the door late at night but that's the guest's responsibility. Some young British people can be incredibly self-centred and selfish, especially in hotels, when they are with friends for the weekend.

I did not end up staying the night due to a mix up of rooms with another guest I let him have the hotel as I already knew this hotel was not safe for a long female traveller

the lift was broken, my room had someone else's stuff in it, dirty stairs and severe updo needed, WiFi did not work and door handle coming off exposed light fixtures from a missing bedside table

List is long, but moste shocking is that I am unable to get my refund. So whoever is staying there, if something goes wrong and you decide to leave- don't leave unless you'll physically get your refund as it's impossible for me now to recover the cost. They aren't even feeling responsible to do so. Room was dirty, old uncomfortable bed mattress, dirty bathroom and room, door with a massive gap and wobbly lock, no WiFi, broken lift, door lock didn't work, noone at the reception desk, toilet flush didn't work, shower - no hot water.

What the hell....

Location only

Everything. After arrival, elevator was out of use and no cafe use either. Had to walk up the stairs two stories, fine. But got into the room to no towels and no shower curtain so had to go back down to ask for them, teo hours later they arrived. The neighbor was ranting on phone from 7-midnight. All of the numbers given (by front desk or at front door or online) never connected through to anyone and when I went back down there was no one around. After midnight and thr neighbor stopping the phone call, coukd hear them moving around in the hall then they stood in front of my door for almost an hour. Did not feel safe and had to be up for 515am. Second evening wasn't much better. Unfortunately I didn't feel I was alright yo leave anything in the room whilst not there. I was told that no one had been in my room but there were signs people had been into the room even though towels were left in same places. Never going back. Would not recommend people staying there

The cleanliness of the hotel was disgusting! Staff are liars! Hotel is the worst I’ve ever stayed at! It’s completely run down! Needs knocked down and rebuilt! The mould was everywhere, looks like it’s never been cleaned! Carpet falling off the stairs! Elevator didn’t work! The dirt in the hotel was everywhere! Completely disgusting!

Never again

It has a central location and is easy to get in and out

Radiator would not turn off in room and was at full pelt, in the middle of summer it was ridiculously hot. Not got water when we arrived after 3 thankfully was turned on later in the day but we had planned to refresh before going back out and that didn’t exactly happen with cold water. No plug for the bath so the toddler had to have a shower before bed. Thankfully his bed was comfortable with a good mattress however the double had a terrible mattress which was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. Not that much sleep occurred due to the overwhelming heat in the room. We almost decided to go home during the night as it was so bad. Several of the plugs had damage which is a fife safety issue which I did not like seeing, these plugs were also left switched on. After looking behind the chairs there were god knows how old rock hard fries candy nerds and dirty skirting boards. We found a unknown mouldy item on the side of the bed by the mattress and stains of unknown origin on the double bed mattress In the bathroom there was damage to the roof above the bathroom and general dirt. May be a cheap central location but I would never go again and definitely not bring a child I wish it would let me add more photos so you could see everything Some missing photos is dirt around skirting boards in bathroom and large pipe randomly sticking up out of the floor connected to nothing A mouldy section of roof which is partially open Candy nerds on the floor Wall lamps that do not turn on Damaged outlets Mattress Dirty bathroom door

That's all there is to it. It was terribly dirty. There was no hairdryer or iron. Everything looked abandoned. The elevator didn't work, nor did the internet or TV. The windows were so dirty you couldn't see outside. You could stick to the carpet in the hall or even slide on the dirt.

Good for the price

It's not a loxorious hotel , but for the price it's very convenient, we booked a triple room which was much cheaper than other hotels, no breakfast and no elevator but I can't complain at this price , alal what we needed is a clean room near to the port.

My worst ever hotel stay!

NO WIFI! While this was supposed to be provided. Very poor in cleanliness! Terms of parking on street ate not the guest friendly! The rooms which are in the pictures are no where in the hotel! Not a single drop of drinking water supplied in the rooms and upon complaint, we were suggested to drink the toilet tap water! No kitchen facility! No lift! Dirty kettle and cup! Uncomfirtable mattresses and beds!

A respectful stuff member

The room was okay and everything was clean, but I must give a big thank you to the staff member who kindly paid the pizza delivery man from his own money, as I didn’t have any cash. It was a personal gesture, but incredibly generous of him,he didn’t even ask to be paid back. Thank you again, I couldn't say goodbye , as I checked out very early

I’m really not understanding the negative reviews about this hotel. The location and price were amazing. 5 minutes from the station and Union street. Clean, comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff.
