Hôtel du cirque et de la cascade

Prachtige locatie en zeer mooi hotel mee zeer vriendelijke mensen. Dicht bij het vertrekpunt van prachtige wandelingen. Voortreffelijk eten en zalige kok

De locatie is werkelijk fenomenaal! Op deze hoogte een hotel van deze klasse weten te runnen, spreekt tot de verbeelding. Mooi verbouwd in 2020, gerund door de 7e generatie in de familie, met aandacht en precisie. Grote klasse!

Onze kamer was klein. Vooral door het schuine dak (2e verdieping). We konden niet staan naast het bed en moesten een beetje improviseren met de bagage.

This hotel must have the best location in France. Our room overlooked the cascades in the Cirque du Gavarnie. Service, food and the staff were exceptional. The suite was very comfortable.

There was nothing to dislike

Incredible restaurant, with very knowledgeable and nice waiters. The dinner and breakfast were great. The bathroom with a tub has great water pressure and Nuxe products. The location is beautiful in between the mountains and rivers/cascades.

No one told us how to get to the hotel, its a 4 km walk up an unpaved road. We followed google maps walking map and it took us through a mountain path. When we had to cross a river we noticed it was the wrong road. The hotel staff when called never simply said “follow the vehicle road.” They wont let you drive your car as its a national park, and charge (€50 return per person!) to take you in their car. They didnt even offer to take us up after we got lost and arrived at sundown.
