The home is just north of Dexterville and just south of Pittsville, so close enough to get any last-minute necessities. If you want a "bigger" town, you can get to Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids in about 30 minutes. The host was responsive and friendly. The house was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located for what we needed. The living room was comfy and cozy, and the den with the gas fireplace was perfect for football and napping. It was a little chilly so we didn't take full advantage of the river, but we did see Benny the bald eagle and make some smores!You could cook or grill out or roast hot dogs over the campfire, but if you want to go to town, we HIGHLY recommend Paulie's (try the carnivore skillet and homemade toast) and Cranberry Creamery (if they are open for the season). And keep a lookout for the white deer!!

Is the perfect place to bring the family. When you first pull up it was a beautifully front yard that they just mowed for us. The pictures do not do it justice, it is beautiful, clean and so much room in the house everyone could have their own space when needed. We took our family and some of their friends as a last minute vacation before school starts and this was the perfect place. I brought tubes for the kids to enjoy the river. Shoes are suggested because the rocks can be sharp but the current is just perfect for floating and hanging out and also fishing. Plenty of room for the teenagers to run around and the basement was perfect for them so no adults were kept up late at night. We did not have plans to leave the house so not really sure what was available to do in any of the surrounding towns but was super easy to find and cant wait to schedule another trip. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing house to create some lasting memories.

The host was very attentive at checking in. The home and property was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. I was awestruck by their attention to detail to ensuring you wouldn't miss a thing while you were away from home with anything you could think of needing.
