Vernazzola is a charming fishing village that offers a magnificent panorama up to Portofino. Far from the traffic of the city but convenient and close to public transport, it has maintained over time the typical appearance of an ancient fishing village, with its small beach surrounded by rocks and by the fishermen's boats pulled up to the beach. On foot and in a few minutes through the crèuze (small streets that can be traveled on foot) you reach Capo di Santa Chiara from which you can enjoy a priceless view, Boccadasse, where there is a small beach and many bars and restaurants and Corso Italia where you can walk along the seafront until you reach the Genoa fair, in just 25 minutes on foot from home.

Lovely 2 bedroom house very close to the sea. If you enjoy an early swim it is ideal as it really is a few steps away. Very safe spot for kids on the far right side.Corrado is an ideal host, very helpful and friendly including comms before the stay and during. Whenever we needed any help he was always quick to reply.I can recommend the local area. Local shop very close and a larger one only 10 mins away. Local bakeries close by too.We found the walk to Sturla beach very easy and good for the daytime. Some good spots to each just over the bridge and very reasonable during the week (12 for 2 courses, water and coffee). The sea is a little rougher there so found the local beach best for our young kids.I would recommend visiting nearby towns via the train which is close (10 mins walk) and less than 30 mins to Camogli also for a few euros per person.Boccadasse also nice in and around the beach and higher up nr the promenade. Worth booking to ensure a table in the evenings (although we were there in August). The property is around 20 mins from the airport by car. Plenty of space in all rooms. Coffee machine and stovetop. Well stocked kitchen space (cooked, hob, microwave, lots of knives, tools, etc.) and there were already some basics to help with cooking which is always handy (salt, pepper, etc.). AC in the lounge and main bedroom for hotter months and lots of space on the patio which can be locked but the area is pretty quiet and safe.
