Location is great, and the staff extremely friendly. Perfect if you have a bike as they have a secure unit to keep them in. Breakfast was nice, a good range of both hot and cold options. The rooms are big, really comfy bed too.

Convenient location with great views and good facilities in the gym/pool/spa areas. The staff were very polite and helpful, speaking multiple languages.
Understandably, there was no air conditioning in the rooms and our visit coincided with a heat wave. Although referred to as Hotel and Spa l’Eclose by Odalays, it was slightly confusing as the name on the property was Residences Odalays. The description on Booking.com, conjures up a picture of a luxury spa and the hotel is more modern minimalist.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms (our friends were in an apartment). Great room, contemporarily decorated and with a very handy kitchenette complete with coffee-maker, kettle and even a mini dishwasher. No disturbed sleep here, excellent soundproofing and a really comfy large bed. The bathroom was clean and modern, with handwash and shower gel provided (something that isn't in the apartments - much to my friends disappointment - along with having to purchase own toilet rolls, all no biggies just inconvenient). Price wise it was fairly expensive but for a ski resort and the standard of our room it was reasonable. Location was good too. Less than 10min walk to Bergers and Marmott lift area and though the bottom area of town, nothing is too far to walk. Great you can get baguettes delivered to reception if ordered the day before. I made the walk to the bakery myself (by the Huez village lift) so I could get pastries - recommend this bakery too.
The only thing I would mark it down on is the towels. They are relatively small, but do change every day if you dump in the bath/floor but they don't supply further towels for the pool/sauna area (€8/charge at reception!) We again in the hotel room had robes to go to the pool/sauna but the apartments didn't have these. Surely a batch of pool towels could be available.

Comfortable hotel, conveniently situated for the ski lift and with an Intersport ski hire shop in the building. Easy to walk into town, and a short walk from the nearest supermarket
It seems more geared to efficiency and profitability than really looking after its guests. It's the only '5 star' hotel I've stayed in where I have had to strip the beds and clean the toilet at the end of my stay! The kitchen in the junior suite is rather small and lacks anywhere to put things down - in fact the whole apartment would greatly benefit from a lot more hooks. When we arrived early, the staff refused to give us the key for the ski locker, although the previous people had checked out. It seemed that they would much rather inconvenience their guests than run the small risk of inconveniencing themselves in the unlikely event of having to give us a different apartment. In a smaller, family-run establishment, they would definitely have made more of an effort to make us feel welcome.
