Welcome to "The Gem" uptown King bedroom apt! Small room features a king-sized bed with small walking space and original art on the wall and an updated private bathroom that consist of necessary amenities for light packing travelers. This stylish suite is full of light and good vibes, perfect for a romantic couples retreat or solo adventurer. Enjoy your stay and complimentary coffee. ROKU channel, no cable.

We are just off the beaten path, so you may hear activity early in the morning to late at night….It is a vibrant town!
Our blue home is next to a vacant business with access to parking behind the home as well as the front.
We are conveniently located next to US -1 (which is a busy road; apologies for disturbance ) easy on street parking or behind home. While we are sharing the property with other guests, it is important that guests respect each other. House rules are enforced! Quiet Hours 10pm-8am
Enter through the right courtyard through white side gate. Entry to unit is at the end of the home; up the stairs and to the right to Unit 3. This king suite has a small front-side deck. Keypad entry for self check in. Turn lock immediately after putting in door code. To lock, door code and turn lock. If the light is green but does not turn correctly please give it a minute and try again. Turn lock immediately after putting door code.
The "Gem" is a king bedroom situated in a multi-family house that has a shared garden with seating and tables for guests to enjoy an outdoor experience. The property has a total of five units with private entrances and is conveniently located next to busy US-1. The location is a few blocks away from the best uptown restaurants and shops, and within walking distance to downtown historical sites. It's a 10-minute walk to the fort and 15 minutes to St. George S. Free street parking is available in front and 40-amp EV charging in the back and extra spaces. The beach is only a 10-minute drive away. -Dogs are permitted on the premises subject to prior approval, and a thorough sweeping of the area is required upon departure.Only dogs are allowed, not added on reservations. We allow a maximum of two dogs for a $25 cash fee per dog; no cats or other animals are permitted.
•Walking is best, however bike, scooters, three wheelers rentals are available. Touristy town with trollies just a few blocks away or call a pedi-cab to pick you up at the front of the property!

•Parking Down Town 2.50 per hour, free after 5 pm and Sunday
Parking garage (1 Cordova St) $20 a day
If transportation is needed please call me for assistance.
-Dogs are permitted on the premises subject to prior approval, and a thorough sweeping of the area is required upon departure.Only dogs are allowed, not added on reservations. We allow a maximum of two dogs for a $25 cash fee per dog; no cats or other animals are permitted.
-No smoking inside
-No cable. Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ connect to your streaming services to watch movies, TV shows, and other content over the internet
-Trash bins are in the back parking lot
-Close bottles of wine or tie bags with open cans/bottles to keep bugs from coming in.
**Cleaners may forget things as there are other units/properties, so please let me know what we could drop off or if we could fix areas that may need attention. Apologies in advance and thank you for your understanding as we want to provide a wonderful experience as a growing small business.

This place was perfect for a quick getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and a short walk or bike ride to the main area. The outside area was also great for enjoying a drink in the evening or coffee in the morning. We’d definitely stay again.

Great value for the price paid on the dates we stayed for location above all else. About a 12-minute walk to the historic uptown shops & Columbia restaurant - with other fun shops along the way. Also walkable to pizza (right next door) and Mc Donald’s for morning coffee. Room itself (unit 3) was adequately stocked for a basic room. Welcome mat on unit next to us was falling apart, which was a comical first impression. Cleaning person removed it after guest left (good call).A little additional lighting for the path to back parking would be a great addition. Overall a good value for a basic room that was affordable and close to what most would want to see and do.

Overall we enjoyed our stay with how close it was to downtown St. Augustine. The room was the perfect size for me and my wife for a long weekend stay. However the bed was not comfortable, the middle sagged quite a bit making us slouch in the middle of the night and was very loud when you moved around and made it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. The shower head was not very clean as well as the walls in the bathroom had some kind of substance running down them.Despite this we still had a great weekend away.
