I've known Coundon for a long time as I grew up in a nearby town. However this place was a rare gem. It was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything in it. I mean literally everything you could need. The setting was lovely with the apple trees all around it. I enjoyed visiting the hens just down the road! It's really handy for Bishop Auckland. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily visit again. We missed out on using the hot tub so we'll look forward to that.

Excellent for the dog and very good value for money. Lovely views and relaxing location. The shower was really powerful and much better than most hotels. The overall experience was easy and we would stay again.
We felt some of the accommodation needed a little updating e.g some of the guttering made a loud noise in the wind (and it was windy when we stayed).

I loved the friendliness of the hosts. The communication right from the start was exceptional with very detailed instructions. I was met at the gate by the hosts and shown the property. Everything was spotless. As someone who travels a lot I hate staying in hotels and love the feeling of home comforts and this place offered just that. Will definitely be booking again.
