Quiet, peaceful calm amid beautiful natural surroundings

I had a lovely, serene stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and airy with a gorgeous view from the large balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful -- they helped arrange a one-day motorbike rental as well as transport to the airport at the end of my stay. The food served in the hotel's open-air restaurant was excellent as well. All-in-all, a pleasant and satisfying experience. Highly recommend this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay amid beautiful natural surroundings.

I have no complaints. I would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful staff and hotel

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. We had a medical emergency and Andre was amazing. He was kind and supportive every step of the way. He even came to hospital and translated medical information from the doctor to me. I am so thankful that Andre was there to help me after the accident. After the injury, the hotel staff brought all my food and drinks to the room and I rested in the beautiful room.

A peaceful retreat with stunning views and delicious food

My stay at Bintang Munduk was truly special. The views are absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, it feels like you’re in a peaceful little paradise. The rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were so kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything I needed. The food here was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. Breakfast each morning was made with so much care and always served with a smile, the perfect start to the day while soaking in the stunning scenery. If you’re looking for a quiet escape in nature with warm hospitality and amazing food, I highly recommend Bintang Munduk.

A must in Munduk

The staff were out of this world. They couldn't do more to make you feel welcome, at home and provide everything you need for a perfect stay. The location is beautiful, with stunning views and just ideal for all the day trips around and waterfall walks, which the staff (especially the amazing Edy) were very helpful at organising. Food delicious. Rooms charming and comfortable. All in all, a must for Munduk!!!

Amazing 3 night stay at this gem in Munduk.

Everything! But especially the staff were so kind and our two bedroom villa with private pool was perfect. The views and location in Munduk were brilliant. It was very easy to organise activities (such as the 4 waterfalls walk and a cooking class) once we had arrived.

A bit of luxury in the jungle - scenic walks and relaxation

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location was amazing, looking out over the jungle from both the room and the pool area. Amazing walks direct from the accommodation, along trails to see waterfalls and through rice terraces. Lovely to then come back and relax around the pool or in the room, have a massage after walking (some of the waterfalls could only be seen by climbing lots of steep stairs), etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly, offering to carry our bags (we had the bungalow at the very bottom of all the stairs), provide information, etc. The partly open air private bathroom was really nice. I thought there would be lots of mozzies but I didn't see any. The food was really nice and the dining area next to the pool had a beautiful outlook. I was pleased to see that they are providing refillable metal water bottles rather than lots of plastic water bottles, with an unlimited supply of drinking water from the pool area.

It was fine for us, but some people might struggle with the stairs down to the bottom bungalow, where we were. There are plenty of other rooms higher up though. We actually preferred being further away - it felt really remote and private.

A very pleasant stay in a charming location

The hotel has an amazing view on the valley with the jungle around you. You have the ability to walk to very nice waterfalls (good hike, so need to be prepared and motivated but worse it). The staff is really helpful and the restaurant while not being amazing is very decent. The hotel can easily arrange to have a driver to take you around and visits many of the local sites of interest (the temples by the 2 lakes are really great) The rooms are relatively spacious and the pool very nice as well

there is almost no storage in the rooms (e.g. no wardrobe, no chest of drawers) so you will more or less use your luggage as the storage space for your belongings. The bathroom are open to the nature so not always clean and as it rains often in the area, so you need ot be mindful on where you leave your cloth or your belongings (but this is very minor) One last thing, it is Bali so expect scooter noise early in the morning even if you are in the jungle

Fantastic Munduk experience

Exceptional! The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Our room was stunning. The staff are so nice and really good out of their way to make sure you have all you need. You can walk to beautiful waterfalls and no one else is there! Also, the food in the restaurant is really good.

Great location, great vibe!

This is a beautiful property in an amazing location, but the highlights are the amai g friendly guys running the place and the food. They gave us helpful advice about walks to the waterfalls and just anything we needed happened. Great cooking class here and fabulous massages! The motor scooter ride from the village when we were worn out after our walk was just super fun. People have mentioned it was noisy but it’s wildlife- haha and roosters- we loved it. I would have liked to stay longer!

The most beautiful, relaxing location. Our family of five loved it. Rooms beautiful, ours had a private pool. Delicious local meals and fantastic, friendly helpful staff.

Nothing we didn’t like. Would just caution people that there are a lot of stairs to navigate, so think twice if you have mobility issues.

Comfortable big clean room with amazing views from the balcony. Lovely pool area. The staff were helpful and accommodating.

The food in the restaurant is not good and if you do not have your own transport/don't want to rent a motorbike you are quite isolated so it is difficult to go eat elsewhere.

A bit expensive for what offers. If you have problems for sleeping in the countryside don't choose this hotel. We slept good because we are used to differents sounds like coks, cats fighting and dogs but if you're not, don't go to this hotel because you're not going to have a quite night.

Pleasant

The green valley view is nice. The bedrooms are clean.

The road, that runs past the hotel is constantly noisy, so much so there are ear plugs provided in the bedroom. The male only staff do their job but could be more interested in their guests. There are many more steep steps in this property than the photos would have you realise.

The staff was number one! From all the homestays, hotels and other stays, this was by far one of our favorite stays. The staf was so kind and respectful and sincerely interested. Second was the view: absolutely amazing. The room was also very big, beautiful and very clean. I really liked all the small things like welcome drink, talked with the staff and sounds of the jungle. 100% recommend to go here!

EXPLORE THE BEATIFUL SCENERY OF MUNDUK AREA

The Villa is surrounded by beautiful scenery and the view from the balcony was outstanding. If you look for silence and peace, place to relax without crowds - you should definitely choose this villa to stay. The comfort & hotel is adequate to price you're spending on. Beautiful infinity pool with the view on green jungle & mountains. We've had very nice & pleasant time here. Breakfasts were okay - nothing to complain about. The staff is the best - so helpful and supportive. Always-on & ready for your questions, are able to arrange you or help to arrange anything you'd want (transport, trips etc).

If you are staying in Munduk, you need to be prepared for having scooter or car to be able to get to all interesting places. Riding a scooter is one of the best attractions you can ever have! Thanks to scooter we could explore and seek all unique & authentic places around villa. I don't recommend ordering dinner, because it's expensive vs quality of food - for me it wasn't tasty as other places (warnings) nearby that's why we ordered only one dinner during our stay.

Very good

It is away from tourist area. In the wet season it rains, a lullaby to put you to sleep at night. No TV to distract you from experiencing the beautiful scenery or the hospitality of staff who are welcoming and helpful. They organise tours, cars, in room massages at economical prices. The chef/cook makes tasty Balinese dishes. The iced chocolate and hot chocolate are delicious. Ask to try the Mangostein fruit. We will visit again.

Very hilly if you want to trek. No tea or coffee facilities in room, but staff will quickly bring you a pot of tea/coffee when asked.

An amazing place in the middle of nature with incredibly nice people

We had a very good experience with Bintang Munduk. It is quite a small, familial hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and had a very pleasant way of treating us. The hotel restaurant was great, they really make an effort. The infinity pool makes you feel like you‘re almost in the jungle and the view from our balcony was amazing, our room was very nice and clean. We had a great trip to the waterfalls, with Eddie, one of the guys working at the hotel, showing us around, explaining all sorts of interesting things and showing us a good time. We highly recommend Bintang Munduk to everyone. 10/10

Sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt in mitten des Regenwaldes

Sehr gute Lage, mit tollem Blick vom Balkon auf den schönen Pool und dem Wald. Man kann direkt vom Hotel zu den Wasserfällen laufen, bekommt auch eine kleine Orientierungskarte mit. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Der Pool nach der Wanderung war einfach herrlich.

Das Mueckenschutznetz am Bett war etwas dreckig, hatte Flecken wahrscheinlich von Mücken.

Die Unterkunft war wundervoll. Von der Straße aus würde man kaum glauben, dass sich dort so ein tolles Ambiente befindet. Die Zimmer, das Pool, das Personal, das Essen/Trinken - einfach alles top.
