Cool Suites

Cool Suites offered a beautiful room in Porto. Really close to the Bolhão Market and to the metro service. The room has great AC, comfortable beds, and a really good bathroom. It's also quiet, considering it's in a somewhat busy part of town. They don't offer breakfast, but you can just walk down the street to lovely Confeitaria do Bolhão or up the street to Breakfast Lovers.

Very well located right next to a pedestrian street and lively market. Nice big room and decent sized bathroom with shower. Everything has been recently renovated

The receptionist did not really welcome me or explain much about the area/things of interest. Maybe it was because he did not speak much English and had to sign language the explanation about how the keys work. I had to message the property to ask how to check out since I was leaving very early and there was no clear indication of where to leave my keys. Was not that much of an issue for me but I did have to go up 61 steps to get to my room on the third floor so if you have some mobility challenges or large luggage it might be worth mentioning and asking if they have rooms that are more adequate for accessibility concerns Finally, I wasn’t too bothered by the street noise but the building shaking sometimes did seem odd until I found out they are digging a new metro line so it could be temporary.

This place exceeded our expectations! The check-in and communication was extremely easy and comfortable, the location is perfect -even though it's close to one of the busiest shopping streets, the street itself is not very busy (although there is traffic noise in the night). We were very amazed by the cleanliness and organization of the staff. Plus, we had two rooms on the second floor to each other - and there is a living room with a terrace on the second floor, which was very comfortable. We would gather there, have a snack and a drink before we went out and gather at the terrace in the evenings to cool down after a long day. All in all, a perfect place especially for large groups! There is a couch, a TV, a fridge, coffee and tea machines and cutlery. We didn't take breakfast so I have no comment about that.

Everything was great. Only the bathroom could have used a couple more hangers and shelves for skincare stuff.

Close to tourism areas. Buses a few steps away.

Even though the facilities were refurbished recently, there is no elevator. The real problem is to carry your luggage stairs up through very narrow steps and the danger that this represents. The exhaust fan in the bathroom were making a very loud noise. Also, the lock of the main entrance door to the building was not properly adjusted, causing that guests and employees slammed the door so hard that you could hear the vibrations all the way up to the room, at all times, including when you were sleeping. But the worst situation was to deal with the unprofessional behavior of the building manager. Very rude person. It doesn’t allow us not to enter the facilities not even one minute before 2:00 pm. Our reservation were booked and paid ahead of time. Even so, he refused to allow us in the facilities lobby.
