Grillo

The apartment we stayed at in Grillo is a medium-sized room with a good-sized adjoining bathroom and a charming terrace where you can sit outside and enjoy the open air. It is located above a relatively busy street, so it can be a little noisy at times, but this did not cause us any real inconvenience. The room is modestly furnished, yet it has everything we needed for a comfortable stay — including an espresso machine, which Fabiana, our kind and attentive host, regularly kept stocked with coffee pods. The apartment was very clean, and cleaning was offered every third day during our stay. One of its biggest advantages is the excellent location. It is within easy reach of virtually all the important places in Salerno: the Central Station, the marina and ferry terminal, the Duomo and the Old Town, the main shopping street, as well as plenty of bars, restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. Overall, we enjoyed our stay even more than we expected and found the apartment a very convenient and pleasant base for exploring Salerno and the surrounding area.

host was helpful, easy to find and checkin, close to supermarket, train station and ferries

a few loose tiles on the floor

The staff was really kind and thoughtful. Although, they didn’t speak english, they communicated very well. In the room, we had everything we needed! The room and the bathroom were also clean and well equipped. Our room was also big, which made the stay more comfortable.

Location to train station and ferry port was good. Cheaper option for overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Kettle and refrigerator. Receptionist was lovely.

Lots of stairs, not suitable for elderly or disabled or large suitcases . Furniture needs repairing eg. Bedside table
