The exceptional manager, Anvar, deserves the highest praise. During my five night stay at Utopia Hotel in Baku's Old Town, Anvar attended to my every need with professionalism and a warm hearted courtesy that I will never forget.
When I needed a train ticket, Anvar actually accompanied me to the train station. When I requested a late breakfast, he graciously offered me a generous plate. And when I inquired about a room change, this fine gentleman actually upgraded me to a larger, brighter abode. As a world traveler, I cannot express how nourishing it is to be treated with such grand hospitality.
Not only is Utopia Hotel a gem in the Old Town, but Anvar is a shining example of Azerbaijani hospitality.
Wishing all of the wonderful staff at Utopia Hotel a life full of peace, happiness and enchantment!

The hotel is in a very good place, in the hearth of the old city. Very easiy to find sights and good restaurants in walking distance. From the rooftop there is a nice view for most of the important sights of the city.
It was very always very noisy, becuse the whole hotel basically one space, you can here everything if anyone speaking a little loudly. The breakfast is very late, from 9.00-11.00 only.

Clean, well maintained, renovated place that is professionally run and in a quiet part of old town. The owner is flexible and allowed me to check in at 4 am by paying half night fare. Overall great value for money. The staff are friendly.
Nothing in particular, I feel this pillows could be a bit more comfortable and the breakfast a bit better.

Location was good, staff was cooperative, and price was great
This hotel can not be accessed by car, and they did NOT mention it anywhere. We were a family of 5 with 5 big luggage and 4 small hand trolleys, and we had to carry and drag all luggage from 500 meter distance on a steep incline walk on pavers up and down track, so that was very inconvenient. Secondly, there is NO Elevator in this hotel and our room was on 1st floor, so we had to carry all heavy luggage via stairs ourselves, because there is NO bellboy either. Breakfast was not great, its a ala carte with boiled egg, veggies, fruit and bread, and coffee if you order omlette its chargeable
