Stable Cottage rests in Langholm and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

There is a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a living/dining room with dining seating for four, a TV, a woodburning stove and a utility with a washing machine, storage and tumble dryer. There is also a games room with table tennis for your entertainment. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor super-king-size and a mezzanine twin bedroom, both with zip/link beds, along with a ground-floor shower room. Outside, there is a shared garden to the front with furniture and ample off-road parking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Apologies, no pets and no smoking. within 0.1 miles there is a Co-op shop and within 0.4 miles, a pub. Stables Cottage is a charming base for avid walkers and cyclists.

Town: Dumfries and Galloway's Langholm is on the River Esk. Langholm's history spans from Mesolithic Man 9000 years ago to the Border Reivers in the 16th century. The town grew around the textile industry, becoming known for its woollens and earning the nickname 'Muckle Toon' Hugh MacDiarmid, the poet, was born in Langholm, and Thomas Telford was born just outside the town. Neil Armstrong visited the Armstrong clan museum when he was made a freeman of the burgh in 1972. The town hosts music, food, and art festivals and the annual Common Riding. Lockerbie has bars, shops, and a jazz festival. Kagyu Samye Ling, the first Tibetan Buddhist Center in the West, is a short drive from Langholm. Day visitors can explore the temple or relax in the peace gardens and grounds year-round.
