Glamping Fikfak

Prachtig omgeving, maar hou er rekening mee dat het laatste stukje ernaar toe (ongeveer een 10 min rijden) onverhard is. Prachtig uitzicht op het meer van Bled in de nabijgelegen herberg in Talez. Erg propere Tiny house. Heerlijk om te ontkoppelen zonder wifi-verbinding.

De douche bleef niet op temperatuur: ofwel heet, ofwel koud. Het bed is een comfortabel, maar aan de kleine kant voor twee personen.

Although travelling solo, I missed storage space. A couple of hooks in the bathroom and downstairs would have been helpful. The ladder to the bed in the attic is quite steep, but I knew thanks to reviews. There is phone reception but no internet, which made eg checking the following day’s weather tricky

The cabin is truly beautiful, with a charming atmosphere and a wonderful location — peaceful and remote, just as we had hoped.

However, there were a few small things that could be improved. There isn’t much space for storing personal items — some shelves, hooks, or a wardrobe would be very useful. A small reading lamp would also be a nice addition. It would have been great if we could have used the wood stove, especially since it rained quite a bit during our stay and it was a bit chilly. Being able to dry out the humidity a little would have made a big difference. The smaller cabin, where I stayed, doesn’t have an outdoor fire pit like the larger one next to it, which is a bit of a shame. There were also no seat cushions for the outdoor bench, which made it less comfortable for sitting outside. As a suggestion for improvement, perhaps a roof extension or some kind of covered outdoor area could be considered — the larger cabin has one, and it was really useful during rainy days. Aside from these details, everything else was lovely and comfortable. The location is truly exceptional, and I would definitely love to return.
