Relax with the whole family at this peaceful beach home on the shores of Lake Michigan. This spacious home is the perfect spot to vacation, work remotely, and connect with the people you love.
Perched high on a sand dune and surrounded by nature. This property is the perfect blend of beach access and privacy. This is a fairly remote part of Lake Michigan which means you get incredible access to the water and gorgeous landscapes everywhere you look. Cell phone service, however, is virtually gone once you're about 5-7 minutes from the house. Using wi-fi to make calls and texts on Apple and some Android devices is an easy remedy once you arrive. At a minimum, guests will need to be able to climb a big set of stairs to get inside the home.
Please be aware that we have a video doorbell at the front door for security purposes only. The device is in clear view and includes both a camera and microphone.
The Silver Lake / Hart area has the vacation goodies you need--incredible hiking, biking, sand dunes, seasonal and locally-grown produce, and a slow-pace vibe to help you fully relax.

This is a custom built 2,339 sq ft home with huge open-concept dining, kitchen, and living. There are four bedrooms, two on the main floor and two on the top floor.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the finished living spaces on the main and upper floor as well as the beach. Beach access is a 10-minute walk to public beach at Little Sable Point Lighthouse.
You and your guests will have access to the deck, outdoor dining, outdoor lounge furniture, and a propane grill.

Other things to note
If you're looking for privacy, nature, local produce and local food, recreation for the whole family, and zero fuss--this is the spot.
This area is famous for ORV dune riding on Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Look it up if you don't know about it. It's like Mad Max up close and personal in summer. People come from all over!
This area also has some really special qualities that are harder and harder to find these days. Here's a list of some of our favorite things about this community:
- Amazing local produce; seasonal eating at it's finest can be found on roadside stands and local grocery stores.
- Slow-pace; things move slower around here. It's a really chill vibe you just feel as soon as you hit the sweeping landscapes of the dunes and the water and the 4-season's Michigan fona. Vacation mode activated.
- Recreation; Ludington, Pentwater, Michigan's Adventure (water and amusement park about 40 minutes away), bike trails, lavender farms, dune hikes, Little Sable Point Lighthouse, fishing, and much more.
- Great food; La Probadita, Hansen's Grocery, Country Dairy, Cherry Pointe, and more. All local and fresh and made by people who know what they're doing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home and would definitely recommend the home to others! Loved the open floor plan, all the windows along the front of the house, the deck, the fire pit—our family (3 sons and their families) loved our stay and would certainly stay again! The location was terrific—at the end of a dead end street so it was nice and quiet, and just across the street and past the house there, we could enjoy the beach, lovely Lake MI, and all the gorgeous summer sunsets!!! The only little thing we’d want others to know is to keep the thermostat at 70 or below, so those staying in the upstairs bedrooms don’t melt. Understandable it’s much hotter upstairs, and if the thermostat gets bumped up any higher, the folks upstairs get quite warm (in the heat of summer). We loved staying here, the host was always on top of any question or concern before and during our stay, and we would be happy to come again!

Our family loved our relaxing retreat at this gorgeous sanctuary! We especially enjoyed our sunset walks on the beach, which we mostly had all to ourselves.

We had a blast staying here! The sand dunes are 10 -15 minutes away and are so much fun! The house was spacious and very clean, which is important to me. We plan on coming back next year.
