After traveling throughout California my wife and I found this property the most relaxing. Overlooking a lake on one side and vineyard on the other we found the location felt like we were at a 5 star resort. The landscaping was professionally finished and peaceful with running water throughout. The hot tub overlooking the lake was very tranquil. There was kayaks for use on lake but it was a little cool in April. An outside grill and fully stocked kitchen gave us option to cook our meals and enjoy in relaxing setting outside or in. The bed was comfortable with heating pad on mattress. The host was very responsive to any question we had. Thanks Melinda and Jerry for sharing your property with us.

I had a wonderful stay at this property! The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and a truly majestic feel. Melinda is a fantastic host—so thoughtful and communicative—and Jerry is incredibly kind. The grounds are perfect for a peaceful stroll, and having a market nearby made everything so convenient. The unit itself is well-equipped with all the essentials, and I especially loved the large TV in the living room and the super comfortable bed. I highly recommend this place and we will surely be back to stay again!

What a beautiful property! We loved waking up, making a cup of coffee in the keurig (coffee provided by the hosts), and walking outside to watch the birds. During the hot days, we loved taking a dip in the pool. And at night, we relaxed in the hot tub looking up at the stars! We will definitely be returning!

This is our third (or fourth) time staying at Melinda's property. This is our GO TO spot when visiting family in Mendocino County. Melinda offers a very clean, comfortable place to stay and allows our kitty cat to stay with us which is huge. Thank you Melinda for always being consistent with what you offer. We love it!!

We stayed at Redwood Valley at the end of a three week trip around California and it couldn't have been more perfect for a relaxing break. The property has everything you need and is close to some amazing scenery. Whether you want to have an active outdoor holiday or just chill and relax- you can easily do both here. The pool was great for cooling down in the afternoon and the hot tub for relaxing late at night to look at the stars. The kitchen is well kitted out for home cooking to go along with that craft beer or local wine you've bought. We came all the way from Ireland and couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. My wife and I stayed at Melinda's cottage for four nights while I had business nearby in Ukiah. It was a comfortable, well-appointed residence that provided a nurturing time away. Melinda was helpful and responsive as needed but otherwise not to be seen. She kindly mailed several clothing items to us that we left in the cottage.

From the first time I saw the listing I knew it would be great. We arrived to a welcome gift of a bottle of wine, and locally grown eggs, and Melinda even brought over homemade zucchini muffins one day. We were able to take our granddaughter for walks near the lake, to see the mules & goats, and went swimming in the pool. The Lake Cottage, and the whole property is beautiful, and had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!

This was a little oasis in Redwood Valley, so nice we ended up hanging out here more than we anticipated. Very clean and classy, the complimentary bottle of wine was a fantastic touch! The property was so cute! We loved hearing the birds all day and crickets all night. The hit tubs massage feature was really nice too!. We cooked and relaxed and loved seeing the horses and gosts! An easy walk to the market for anything missing. It was an amazing break from the city.

I’ve stayed at a lot of properties over the years, but I have to say this is by far my favorite. The grounds were impeccable and all the animals were a special treat! I enjoyed the hot tub under the stars each night and sometimes during the day! The unit itself is spacious and beautifully appointed from the amazingly cozy heated bed to the well stocked kitchen. Luxurious bath products were provided and plenty of towels and extra blankets for lounging on the sofa. Melinda was an absolute pleasure and was kind enough to leave a scrumptious bottle of wine, chocolates and fresh eggs for the morning! I loved everything about this rental and would definitely book again. Thank you for hosting!

Greeted upon our arrival by Mickey, the ranch cat, who followed my daughter everywhere. So sweet! Hosts also tend mules, goats and dogs while the lake attracts abundant bird life. Kitchen quite well appointed for preparing all our Thanksgiving dishes. The fresh eggs, estate bottled Merlot and evening soak in the hot tub under the stars were divine. Hope to return soon!

This property is amazing! Its a retreat from busy life and the grounds are extremely clean, well kept and tasteful. Horses and Goats are in beautiful stalls that greet you on the drive in with the small property vineyards as the backdrop. The hot tub on our unit was perfect, private and the view of the stars was highly romantic. The hosts were wonderful! Jerry and Melinda do not miss a beat. Fresh farm eggs, wine, coffee and even homemade peach preserves. The cottage has everything that you need to feel at home and you literally don't need to bring anything but yourself. I will be back and highly recommend this stay. :) Thank you Jerry and Melinda
