This host and cottage was the best VRBO experience that we have had to date. Everything was just perfect. The kitchen was completely stocked with condiments, including a few fresh eggs, butter and a nice bottle of wine. The host was very responsive when we had questions. The porch and grounds outside were beautiful and relaxing and everything inside the cottage was perfect too.I can highly recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the area.

This was a perfect weekend getaway! We loved meeting the horses and goats, walking around the vineyards, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked and the unit was very clean and cozy. We had a memorable & lovely time, and we highly recommend this spot to others!

Somewhat disappointed with house. The pictures showed it nicer than it was. The outdoor furniture was dirty & worn out. The hot tub was directly in front of the occupied adjoining houses windows. Wasn’t appealing to use it. Having a hot tub does not allow you to claim it as a spa. We had trouble getting in the gate. We pushed the speaker a few times trying to call property mgr & never got an answer. Had to call VRBO support to get in the gate. We had zero contact with PM. Our last morning there was hot water for only one shower.

This was one of our favorite rentals of all time. It has everything you could want or need. Pool, hot tub, farm animals, pond for fishing, stocked kitchen full of necessities and extras. It was so fabulous and the views all along the property are spectacular. The hosts, Melinda and Jerry, were so helpful and kind and even let our 11 year old son participate in the feeding time for the goats and mules. He let us take the golf cart as well to explore the property and we headed down to the pond for some catch and release fishing. This place is an 11/10 and do not hesitate to book this place, especially if you have children. Lots to explore and there is much to do as far as hiking, lakes, and good food. We will definitely be coming back.

We celebrated my husband's birthday by staying here and taking day trips to Mendocino and various redwood groves. The cottage is so special--the photos can't even capture how lovely it is. From the cobblestoned entrance and patio to the very pretty bedroom/comfy bed and fully (I mean FULLY) outfitted kitchen, all was perfect. Melinda and Jerry gave us complete privacy but were available around the clock for our silly questions about dining, where to go for runs, how to work the AC, etc. The only thing to note is that there is an adjoining rental that shares the hot tub and patio off the bedroom, so worth asking if you want complete privacy. Bonus #1: saw the Starlink night show on our last evening, which was creepy but also pretty spectacular! Bonus #2: Miss Pickles. Thank you Melinda and Jerry for a magical visit and birthday celebration!

After traveling throughout California my wife and I found this property the most relaxing. Overlooking a lake on one side and vineyard on the other we found the location felt like we were at a 5 star resort. The landscaping was professionally finished and peaceful with running water throughout. The hot tub overlooking the lake was very tranquil. There was kayaks for use on lake but it was a little cool in April. An outside grill and fully stocked kitchen gave us option to cook our meals and enjoy in relaxing setting outside or in. The bed was comfortable with heating pad on mattress. The host was very responsive to any question we had. Thanks Melinda and Jerry for sharing your property with us.

I had a wonderful stay at this property! The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and a truly majestic feel. Melinda is a fantastic host—so thoughtful and communicative—and Jerry is incredibly kind. The grounds are perfect for a peaceful stroll, and having a market nearby made everything so convenient. The unit itself is well-equipped with all the essentials, and I especially loved the large TV in the living room and the super comfortable bed. What a beautiful property! We loved waking up, making a cup of coffee in the keurig (coffee provided by the hosts), and walking outside to watch the birds. We stayed at Redwood Valley at the end of a three week trip around California and it couldn't have been more perfect for a relaxing break. The property has everything you need and is close to some amazing scenery. Whether you want to have an active outdoor holiday or just chill and relax- you can easily do both here. The pool was great for cooling down in the afternoon and the hot tub for relaxing late at night to look at the stars. The kitchen is well kitted out for home cooking to go along with that craft beer or local wine you've bought. We came all the way from Ireland and couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. We arrived to a welcome gift of a bottle of wine, and locally grown eggs, and Melinda even brought over homemade zucchini muffins one day. We were able to take our granddaughter for walks near the lake, to see the mules & goats, and went swimming in the pool. I’ve stayed at a lot of properties over the years, but I have to say this is by far my favorite. The grounds were impeccable and all the animals were a special treat! I enjoyed the hot tub under the stars each night and sometimes during the day! The unit itself is spacious and beautifully appointed from the amazingly cozy heated bed to the well stocked kitchen. Luxurious bath products were provided and plenty of towels and extra blankets for lounging on the sofa. Melinda was an absolute pleasure and was kind enough to leave a scrumptious bottle of wine, chocolates and fresh eggs for the morning! I loved everything about this rental and would definitely book again. Thank you for hosting!
