    This is easily the most budget-friendly stay you’ll find in the area, but you pay for it in other ways. I actually rebooked because of a positive experience I had back in April 2023, but unfortunately, the quality has plummeted since then. The hygiene standards are now a major concern. The bathroom walls, floors, and shower curtains are covered in mold, and the common restrooms are consistently slippery with visible urine stains in every stall. To make matters worse, clumped hair is left in the drainage areas, making the shared space feel completely neglected. However, the worst part of the stay was leaving with niknik (sandfly) bites. If you haven't experienced them, they may seem minor, but the itch is relentless and will absolutely keep you up at night. Next time, I would gladly pay an extra 1,000 TWD for a cleaner, safer environment in the Ximending area. Unless you are on an absolute shoestring budget, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
