We loved the fact that it had a balcony and self catering facilities were useful. The bathroom was nice and the WiFi was good. The location was very good though the road it is on is very grubby and unkempt. Excellent supermarkets nearby and a great local.restauramt called Ristorrante Del Lago nearby. Excellent food reasonably priced. Great that we could store our luggage there on our last day as we had an evening flight. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of storage.

The Aircon was in the hallway and very ineffective. It didn't seem to be working properly as even on 18 degrees I could barely feel its benefits plus it was in the hall outside of the bedroom not in the bedroom. It was very hot and humid at night. The other Aircon unit in the kitchen didn't work or wouldn't switch on which was noted during check in but this wasn't resolved during our stay. He seemed in a rush to leave. Larger mugs for tea and coffee would have been useful. A saucepan with spout for warming milk for a white coffee would also be useful. We discovered that the apartment is directly above a 6 day per week crèche. Yes 6! For a holiday accommodation I found this totally unacceptable. The noise started from 8.30a.m until.i don't know when but when we left at 11a.m or 12 on most days it was still noisy. Very young children crying and screaming is not my idea of a relaxing holiday and even with ear plugs woke me up! Not the way to start the day on holiday! Apparently in Sicily running such a business in a residential building is ok!? Crazy. This is the main reason for just 5 stars. The host didn't reply to my message about this for over 23 hours.
