Canalview House - Fully Furnished Coventry City Centre Home

Loved this property, first time staying here and it was ideal for myself and my colleagues, great location and so clean. The TV's in all bedrooms and free Netflix were a great bonus. Excellent communication with the host and lots of information before, during and after our stay. We tried to book for a further week but unfortunately they were already booked on those dates. However, we will definitely be using again. Thank you for a great stay.

Very modern and spacious, which was great for the family! Great location close to town, easy to access and use the facilities, free parking.

The kitchen crockery could be cleaner.

- Location was good - There were the correct number of bedrooms. - Bedding and towels seemed clean

- Whole place is extremely run down from dirt in the showers to a completely unmown garden - Heating was unbearable: showers would run cold due to misconfigured thermostat, but for the life of us we couldn't get the radiators to turn off but keep the hot water on - No way to hang out wet washing because the garden is completely overgrown - Unbearably hot during evenings even with the room radiators off, the corridor ones would stay on. Found a radiator key but it didn't fit - Most cutlery and crockery was dirty - Code for key safe was wrong

The property was in a great location with good neighbours. It’s actually bigger than we thought it would be.

There were a lot of things broken in the property. Sofa leg & armchair leg broken. Plug sockets broken and shower heads broken. The fridge was really bad and never got cold which meant our food went off before we had a chance to eat it. Same for the freezer where some items would freeze but others wouldn’t. The Netflix in the rooms didn’t work and the WIFI was extremely poor. We had to hotspot

The home was furnished well and was spacious enough for our big group.

The house was not clean enough. The floors were dusty downstairs and the carpeted rooms upstairs had bits of food and dirt on them. This is not talking about general wear and tear. The bathrooms weren't cleaned well as well as the kitchen- amenities like the fridge, microwave, kettle and cooker/oven were just too dirty to use as well as crockery which there wasn't enough of. Luckily we had our own disposables and kettle that we had bought. Clean towels were left on the floor in the pantry near the kitchen which is extremely unhygienic. The place was very dusty and a few people in our group have asthma and allergies which were really affected during our stay. It seems like the place had previously had another big group and due to our stay being very soon the owner didn't hire enough people to deep clean the house which was a shame because the property would have been great if clean. It really ruined our stay as the first thing we had to do upon arriving was clean up. The owner did have a cleaner come out but this was during our time and we didn't receive any compensation for this either. Overall very disappointing and makes me want to avoid booking.com for all future visits.
