12 Red Rock Apartments

The rooms were very spacious and the apartment felt light and airy. The location was fantastic and it was great to be able to sit outside on the balcony. Overall the inside of the property was very clean as was the decoration. The provision of a separate fridge and freezer was great a was the provision of a washing machine (although we did my use this). The check in process was easy We had an issue with one of the showers which was easy to report and agree steps to fix.

1. Whilst the inside was clean, the outside was not. The windows at the back were filthy with dust and cobwebs. The furniture on the balcony was not clean as neither was the glass balcony guard. Whilst this is due to location, sand does get blown and deposited easily, more regular cleaning would help. Also there was no supplies to allow us to do some of this ( not the back windows that are over 20ft up obviously!). 2. The storage in the kitchen was limited due to design. The ironing board was stored outside the “cleaning”cupboard as it was an inch or so taller than the space under the lowest shelf in the cupboard. The bucket took up space in one of the other cupboards, because it was slightly wider than the “cleaning” cupboard. The above, and the arrangement of how other stuff was stored mean that when you arrive there is no place to store food that doesn’t need to use the fridge and freezer. 3. Access to the shower in the ensuite was very cramped and “flakey”. The doors were flimsy and these were never very secure, but one came out completely during our stay. When we reported it, it was a known recurring issue. Also even when working, the entrance into shower was very narrow. I had to enter side ways and if I was much bigger I would have struggled with that. The shower in the main bathroom was great. 4. The en suite does smell very musty. 5. Position of bed in master bedroom. Whilst the room is a generous size the current configuration is dangerous for your shins. To get from the door side of the room to the ensuite or wardrobe the space between is very narrow with the end of the bed. This is even more of a problem at night when perhaps you don’t want to switch on the main light. We both have sore shins to prove it !
