Arc 1800 Alpage du chantel Iseran SKI-in SKI-out

The Chalet was very comfortable and well set up. It was close to the ski lifts - ideal for the ski in - ski out experience and had a restaurant and grocery shop close by. The swimming pool was very nice and good to relax in after a day on the pistes.

Comfortable apartment. Well appointed kitchen and lounge area. Good location. Good sized ski locker. Roland the host was polite and helpful.

There are hidden costs, You have to hire bedlinen, towels and pay extra for cleaning. It should be made really clear in the description. For reference we took our own towels but had to pay 287 Euro for bedlinen and cleaning (5 people). Even worse was the property management company. They were disorganised and did not answer emails unless prompted several times. The keys and document signing need to be picked up at Arc 1800 despite the apartment being at Arc 1850 which was a pain. You cannot access the apartment until 5pm which is also inconvenient.

Nice apartment, well equipped and very spacious for 5 people. Ski locker was a good size.

Watch out for the hidden charges (linen, towels, etc) all charged at very high rates for things which are normally included in ski apartments these days. We were only given details of these charges after the cancellation deadline. Concierge service was difficult to communicate with and we were obliged to call them on the last skiing day during skiing time just to be told things which could have been put in a short email/message. They also have ridiculously complicated documents which they send out in advance.

The best part is the balcony, with an amazing view of Mont Blanc. Having three bedrooms and two bathrooms was great for us. Having a combination microwave/oven was really great, much better than just a microwave.

Balcony doors didn’t close properly, not much sound proofing between rooms, plaster coming off the walls in several places, door handles loose, toilet seats kept coming off, shelf in fridge door broken, no batteries in tv remote, book of local info was years out of date
