On this visit to Melbourne for a weekend, our dog was along for the ride. We had Room 6 being an area outside with private shower & toilet. Enough room for dog to sleep on the floor. Room equipped with a double & single bed, kettle, microwave, toaster & fridge. Really great value. Found a park close by to walk the dog.

I like this share house in Box Hill for it's good location to get around on public transport, but I will only book if room with private bathroom is available. Bring you own toilet paper if you stay in room with share bathroom. I've been there and done that, and particularly in the evening, the toilet roll has run out. The shared bathroom toilet and shower is very small (like a cupboard). Not much room to stand/dry yourself, or put toilet bag unless you use toilet seat. There is no mat, the floor can be slippery with not just shower water (pee from males who don't aim well) YUCK

The two towels rolled up on bed- were still damp. One would expect dry towels upon arrival should you wish to shower before bed. Fortunately the towels dried with the heater in room, for showering the next morning. Usually a handtowel and bath mat is also supplied. Not on this occasion - grr, as the bathroom floor is cold and slippery. I will pack my own for next visit (but shouldn't have to)! This house needs a Clothes Dryer in a locked cupboard, or they should be taken to a laundromat when partially dry. Washed sheets and towels hang in a covered patio area; in Melbourne's winter weather the cold air (overnight and daytime) does not do the job.
