The cool breeze and quiet. Decent sized apartment. Filtered water, clean towels, some cutlery (missing butter knives) and bowls provided is good. There is a lovely pool area and pool to swim in. A modest gym to exercise in block A, which is a wee way away.

Mould everywhere. The apartment has a mould/fungus issue. This is due to the lack of mechanical ventilation in the shower/toilet area, lack of sunlight and the way the cleaner leaves the bathroom soaking wet after "cleaning". You will want to wash all your clothes to kill mould spores. The current solution of using air freshners and dehumidifiers is insufficient. I personally can't tolerate the smell of air fresheners. The mattresses on both beds need replacing. The mattress springs have worn out, thus unable to provide any back support. This affects sleep. The free Netflix was not working. Cooking smells, infuse the apartment in the evenings - belacan in particular. This is why extraction fans in this unit is a must, to deal with cooking odours and the moisture. The access road is in bad condition due to ceaseless construction and deforestation. Most of the surrounding forest will be gone in a few years. Ask about road closures and road condition before booking. The building (Block D1) houses mostly migrant workers from Indonesia, Phillipines and Bangladesh and some Malaysians that work in construction and the various hotels, restaurants and casino.
