About this house rental
Enjoy beautiful sunsets over lake superior from the back door. With 150' of water frontage, but access to about a mile worth's of shoreline you can relax with walks along the beach, sitting by a fire or grilling in the outdoor space.
There is also a trout stream that flows into a pond where the local kids and resident bald eagles enjoy fishing.
This 2 bedroom 2 bath home is located 15 minutes from Houghton.
The space
Our little piece of heaven has a one bedroom on the main floor and full bath. Upstairs in the loft are two queen beds, a sitting area and another bathroom. Six guests can comfortably enjoy the space.
No A/C is needed with the cool Superior breeze. There is infloor heating to keep your feet warm in the winter.
There is no cell phone service, but wifi is available. If your cell phone allows for wifi calling, the wifi will support it.
There is a Roku available for you to login to your services, in guest mode it will automatically log you out. No standard TV is available, but who needs it when you are surrounded with the beautiful outdoors that the Keweenaw has to offer.
You'll have access to the cabin, but the garage on the property is locked.

All areas of the house are available except one closet under the stairs. Guests will access the home via a keypad with a personal code.

I completely recommend this place! The pictures DO NOT do it justice! The house is very nice and has everything you'd need. But the outside property is AMAZING!!!! The kitchen is stocked, we weren't missing anything we needed. Plates, silverware, glasses, cups, fry pans, toaster, seasonings.... The dining room is a very nice place to hang out with great views!!! Watch your toes going in and out of that room. The living room was very comfortable to hang out in. We had to use the little stove one night and it did a great job warming the place up.Bathrooms are clean and stocked with towels, washcloths, toilet paper...Laundry room had detergent. Washer is pretty loud so don't run it at bed time. But any other time, just shut the door. Bedrooms are pretty dark. Comfortable bedding. The downstairs bed is a little loud ;)I didn't sleep upstairs, but the other couple said to be VERY careful of the stairway opening. It almost got them a couple of times. I didn't use it, but there's a telescope up there also!There's not much firewood, but there's plenty to collect around the place. Gorgeous view!!!! BUT, PLEASE go down to the lake!!!! You'll spend all day there.Communication between myself and the owner was as instant as you could get! They are great at getting you places to see and go! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

Beautiful house in a superb location. We enjoyed the sunsets so much that, rather than going out to eat, we brought in carry-out from local restaurants. We highly recommend this jewel of a find on the Keweenaw Peninsula.

This is a really beautiful house -- both inside and out. The furnishings are attractive and well-made. The house offers great views of Lake Superior; we watched a phenomenal sunset over the lake one night. Highly recommended.
