Bluebell Cottage

Bluebell Cottage is absolutely stunning! Sarah was lovely and very accommodating. The cottage is beautifully furnished, the views are amazing, and we had everything we needed for the perfect stay. It felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend Bluebell Cottage. We will 100% be returning! (We had seen some previous reviews regarding the gate being narrow/tight - I can honestly say we never had a problem with this. We managed to get in and out of the property with no issues and had plenty of space.)

The cottage itself is lovely, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. The garden is delightful and peaceful too. Chris and Sara were great hosts - helpful and friendly. The location is within an easy drive of Tavistock, one of the best market towns we've ever been to, and within that special western end of Dartmoor - so there's plenty to see and do.

It's hard to find anything at all to complain about, but the 'very slightly less than ideal things' would be: The bed is pushed up to the wall on one side - you could move it a little, although there's not much room to do so. And the entrance gateway is pretty narrow, so if you have a wide car you could easily scrape it on the stonework. I struggled to work the cooker hob's touch-sensitive buttons (until I got the hang of it - just "touch and hold a moment")

Access to the parking was very tight but we managed...

Property was extremely well appointed, garden was beautiful with lots of space to sit out and enjoy the scenery. Owners live adjacent to the property and were friendly and approachable with good tips on local walks etc. Location was great; 4 miles to Tavistock so all the facilities of the town accessible but it felt like you were miles from anywhere.

The bed was accessible from one side only - this had been made very clear so not a surprise but worth bearing in mind as some agility required to avoid disturbing your partner if a nocturnal trip to the bathroom is required!
