Fabulous grounds and outdoor space. Very well stocked kitchen.
Lighting in lounge is poor. Upstairs toilet very close to the basin and difficult to reach the toilet roll.

The garden is like an incredible arboretum - full of spectacular trees and shrubs, with all manner of birds - truly wonderful and so unusual. The fire pit/ braai area is fantastic and a fire had already been set for us. The kitchen is well equipped. The WiFi was reliable and quick. The upstairs bedrooms are comfortable and the A/C very effective.
The house is old and, in areas, shabby and "beaten up", it's surprisingly cool downstairs and could be very cold in the Winter with no heating. The downstairs bedroom is small and not really suitable for adults, without even a door. The blinds are not effective at keeping out light. There is no upstairs shower. There is no TV (fine for a weekend but not longer). The driveway is slightly tricky with a large vehicle.
