The owner told me the building is 110 years old—a very old structure—and said, “Please feel free to use it however you like without worrying about anything,” which left a great impression on me. The price was reasonable, and unlike a hotel, the place was very spacious—it even had a ping-pong table and a theater room. Although it was an old building, it was kept very clean. The owner also recommended an izakaya to me, and the sashimi there was delicious. I just took a shower, but it seems there’s a hot spring nearby as well. I’d love to stay here again if I get the chance.

The location is superb, right in the old town streets area and just a charming 10 minute stroll along the river to the castle.

Nothing to dislike. It is certainly a place that would benefit from travelling with a group of friends due the wide array of social spaces and entertainment facilities. So, not really a negative, just felt a bit empty with me as the only guest.

It is a very spacious property with a lot of playful collections in it. It is actually a shop/residence in a fading commercial street with a ping pong table to greet you when you enter the property. A very special experience to stay in such a place.

Toilets and shower room are too far away from the bedroom, which is very common in Japanese properties. Yet, it is a bit inconvenient.

Large whole house. Had some recreational parts like a pool table. The small garden was nice and the owner was responsive.

It was a hodgepodge of stuff. Not decorated or built with a central plan. The toilets weren't cleaned very well. It felt like staying at your uncle's place, if your uncle was a bachelor. Practical and accommodating enough only. Very steep stairs also.
