Good big clean apartments, fully equipped. Free big parking in front of the compound. A small shop is in the same building (hosts work there). 6 minutes walk to the train station to Bernina Express. Host Omar is a very kind man.
Due to a simple oversight, I mistakenly selected “1 guest” instead of 2 when making the reservation. I was traveling with my wife. Upon arrival, the host demanded an additional payment of €120, claiming that the price increases significantly for two guests. However, the listing did not specify any restriction against having an additional guest, nor did it indicate such a high extra charge. To verify, I simulated a new booking on the same dates for 2 people. The price shown was €258, compared to €184 for 1 person — a difference of €74, not €120. I calmly offered to pay the €74 difference, but Omar’s wife reacted aggressively, accused me of refusing to pay anything (which is false), and contacted Booking.com to complain.
Shortly after, I received a call from a Booking.com representative who listened to my explanation and said the situation would be reviewed, and that I would be contacted again. Unfortunately, no one followed up by phone. Instead, I started receiving automated messages from Booking.com showing an increased price, without further clarification or dialogue.
Eventually, the host claimed that Booking.com approved an additional charge of €94, and I was forced to pay it under pressure. I had no support or clear communication and I felt abandoned in a situation that could have easily been resolved fairly.
The host did not provide any instructions for check-in or check-out, which caused unnecessary confusion and stress. The address listed on Booking.com is incorrect. The real address of the apartment is Via Ponticello 3, not 7.
This was the first time I have had such a negative experience using Booking.com. As a loyal Genius customer, I expect a much higher level of service, transparency, and support — especially when a host is clearly acting unprofessionally.
