The property included a bedroom, a living room with a comfortable pull out couch, a well-equipped and large kitchenette (plenty of cooking utensils, products, oven, 4 burners on the stove top, a sink, a regular fridge, and a microwave) and a nice restroom. It is a great value for what is included. There is a fan to keep air moving and bugs away. Gianni and his family were so helpful, offering us rides to towns, responding to our needs fast, and accommodating transportation back to the train station. The apartment is in a quiet location about 45 minutes away from the nearest town, Pollina. It’s a lovely short hike up to Pollina, perched at the top of a mountain with breathtaking panoramic views. It’s about an hour and half walk to the beach. Most stuff is out of the way if you don’t have a car, and the bus is difficult to figure out, although it apparently stops at the commune where the apartment is located.

Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes outside. It was either opening doors and windows at night to cool ourselves down in the heat or keeping the mosquitoes outside. There is a strong fan which we thought was quite helpful. Also the location without a car makes it difficult to get anywhere. We’re grateful that Gianni offered some rides to us. As noted in the description, there is no WiFi, so take note of that. It’s a nice place to disconnect from the world.

Accueil très gentil des propriétaires. Bons conseils. Bonne situation pour découvrir les Nebrodies. Au calme sans être trop isolé.

Souci d’humidité mais c’était car on était les premiers de la saison à venir, qu’on a réservé en dernière minute cet hébergement. Manque quelques ustensiles de cuisine si on prévoit de rester plusieurs jours et de faire la cuisine.
