But if, after breakfast on the terrace, those views across the iconic hills have motivated you to explore, that's easily done too. Head to the surrounding villages to see their Etruscan and Roman ruins, explore Montemerano – a twenty-five-minute drive away – and don't miss the nearby thermal springs. A little isolated for some, it's a short drive to pick up supplies or eat out – but for others, this is the magic of this place.
