La Quinta Caribeña

The property is super cute quaint and provides everything you need for your stay in Playa Del Carmen. It’s located in the more residential neighborhood of the city so it’s quiet and only about a 30 minute walk or 5-10 minute taxi ride from the downtown area. The pool was clean and perfect for staying cool in the heat, and the rooms were great. The staff are very communicative and always happy to make recommendations. The owner helped me to figure out our plans on some days and gave me local insights that saved me money and time. The manager is a very sweet person who genuinely wants everyone to feel at home when they come visit, and you can tell he is passionate about making the hotel the best it can be.

Staying here comes with the understanding that you are not paying for a luxury resort, and therefore you can’t expect that it will have that luxury feel. We are easy going travelers, so the family feel of the hotel was wonderful. If I ever needed extra supplies, towels, or the room needed to be touched up in any way, I would message the owner using booking and there would be someone to help within minutes. The owner is incredibly responsive and the manager is onsite regularly to help with any questions of concerns.

Enjoyed our stay. Good location near the Playa Esmeralda public beach where the water is calm and has a family atmosphere. Rooms good layout and all necessary amenities. Pool outside and seating area was relaxing. Guillermo checked us in as arranged and was always available and helpful. 2 Local Supermarkets Oxxo and Willy's and less than 5 minutes walk. Local food places nearby. To get into centre it's easy to catch local Collectivo bus on 30 avenue which is about 10 minutes walk and costs 10 mexican pesos.

Very quiet in room except sometimes reversing coaches at the Paradisus Esmeralda 5* hotel opposite.

Great place away from the noise, there are several beaches nearby, nice pool, lovely super-helpful staff ❤️
