Old Captain's Apartments - in a pine wood by the sea and tennis courts

We were in the 2-person appartment at the top of the building, called "sea view". It's the most incredible location with beautiful sea and mountain panoramic views. The bed is comfortable, the pillows are wonderful. Everything you need is there - even a hairdryer and 2 umbrellas! Saça the host and his family were utterly charming, bright people - so very hospitable. Uber is about 7 Euros average to the Riva Promenade - but don't let them take you anywhere near the Split sign or you'll find 4 Euros on your bill every ride for parking. It's an easy 25 minute walk into the old town, much of it on the flat by the sea.

I loved everything about this place and would happily return. The room doesn't have "Hilton Glamour" and the bathroom is basic, so don't go if appearances in your room are more important than having the most wonderful terrace in a secluded spot in utter privacy, with very comfortable everything. Also there are 3 flights of narrow stairs (outside) to get to the room so don't book if this doesn't work for you.

This apartment is on the ground floor of a deco style building. We loved the antique furniture. A great shower and laundry facilities - coffee machine (with coffee!). Behind and between the tennis courts on the coast of Split, the location is brilliant. A stunning 900 meter walk around the bays take you to the ferry terminal and Old Town. 250m or so away is a large Spa supermarket, the best in the area, which served our grocery needs. We had a secure place to park our rental car. Jelena and Sača are warm and lovely. Between arrival and departure we didn't hear a peep from them.

We would have liked to feel we could sit on the upper ground grassed area that overlooks the sea, but did not want to impose.

Virkelig dejlig beliggenhed. Venlige værter. Dejlig terrasse. Området er skønt og dejlig badestrand.

Det er meget småt og simpelt indrettet. Terrassen var indrettet med et vakkelvorn plastikbord, 2 gamle havestole og 2 strandstole uden hynder. Vi havde forventet mere ud fra billederne og prisen.
