Lovely position in Ambleside. Great for shops and pubs etc. The garden was lovely for the dog, safe. Nice little cottage with everything you needed plus a parking space (yes it is very tight). Comfortable bed.
Liked it all, nothing to moan about.

Great location, comfy bed.
Difficult to find in the dark with a lack of outdoor lighting or house name signs. The house was very cold when we arrived and we found it hard to warm it up. Towels provided were bleach stained and could do with replacing

Location was perfect. Loved the little enclosed garden for our dog.
The cottage was well equipped and although in the center of town, it was very quiet.
The parking space is very tight if you have anything larger than a mini!
Shower stall is also quite small.
Could have done with an extra step outside the garden gate.

Loved the central location and the enclosed garden was fabulous for our dog. Tye parking was also a real bonus
The cottage is cosy but could be doing with a refresh. The bed was also very hard.

Lovely little cottage with plenty of room for two and a great central location so no need to use the car as access to an array of walks to suit all walking abilities.

Charming little cottage, situated just a few strides from the centre of Ambleside. Despite the central location, it's not noisy and we had three nights of undisturbed sleep. Property is tastefully furnished, cosy and comfortable. Parking space opposite the lovely secure garden is an added bonus.

Really cosy cottage, tastefully renovated. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. There are some other reviews, which are not how we found it at all - was really clean, shower great, sofa very comfy.
The bedroom was a real surprise, very spacious and really comfy bed.
Town centre location yet with quite a large garden.
Good communication from Sita - thanks! Would recommend and would definitely book again.
The directions to the car park were confusing, the access is off Kelsick road. The car park access looks very narrow but actually we were able to get in with quite a large car. Only one gate from car park into garden. It's a big step up, as stated, not suitable for anyone with any mobility issues.
Bit of noise from the town at night, to be expected being so central, nothing too bad.
Having a dog with us, it did feel a bit worrying to see rat poison by the cottage and car park. Clearly laid by professionals in a container so hopefully dog proof but kept him well away from it none the less.

Central location. Cosy little cottage.
A bit dusty for me.

The garden is lovely. Location is just off the high street although relatively quiet.
The cleanliness was very disappointing and quite shocking. A significant amount of mould around the bathroom window and in the shower, stained bedding, dirty guest blankets and the cottage felt damp downstairs. Issues and photographs were reported to the owner who advised they would check on a maintenance visit and would speak to their cleaning team.

The central location.
Free parking.
A little touch of mould in the bathroom.

Location central to Ambleside, excellent starting point for discovering the central lakes
The property feels tired and is in need of modernisation throughout. The main advantage is the secluded garden but this is not relevant in bad weather. Parking is difficult.

a hidden gem! the secure garden was perfect for our pup, it was a lovely little home from home with everything you need for a good base to explore the beautiful surroundings.

The cottage was comfortable and well organised, with a good amount of space for a couple. Cooking facilities were good, with a sensible range of equipment, and the bed and sofa were very comfortable. It was also nice to have both a bath and shower, and the cottage was nice and warm. The location was excellent - right in the centre but behind the main street, and detached, so it was very quiet. Communication with the owner was good, with comprehensive arrival information by email.
It was great to have a parking permit for the local car parks, but we sometimes had to wait for a space as neither is very large. The shower area would benefit from a deep clean.

Location amazing, so close to so many lovely shops, pubs and cafes. Short walk to the waterfalls and other interesting sights.
Hosts were very friendly, the cottage itself was really cute, all fresh and cosy - no complaints at all! We would definitely recommend, and would love to stay again.
Thank you for a lovely weekend in Ambleside!

The cottage was cosy and comfortable, it was equipped for your self catering needs. It has a lovely big bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath so you can relax those leg muscles after a long walk. It has a lovely garden to eat and drink outside , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so did our westie Bella.
