Kemps Yard Retreat

It was perfect and value for money for the 4 of us, in town to spend time with family. Easy for us to walk into town or drive to meet up. Clean and bright accommodation.

No issues for us.

Super accommodating of us and our dogs, including my assistance dog. Thank you so much, everything was as described and the neighbors next door were friendly & super helpful with the couple of queries we had. It was a very peaceful place to stay despite being in the village. So many lovely walks near by. We would definitely highly recommend and would love to come back.

The drive was pretty narrow, and maybe a footstool for the sofa would make the stay even more comfortable.

Lovely cottage in the centre of a beautiful town in Yorkshire. The market and supermarkets were just a few minutes away. It was very clean and cozy with beautiful views from the first floor. The kitchen was well equipped. There were some brochures and information with things to do and where to eat in the area which was very handy. The Thai place they recommend was superb. Check in and check out was easy as the key is collected from a locker at the property. Dog friendly too so that was great. We parked on the street as it was easier, usually always a free space for overnight.

The single beds in one of the bedrooms were not very comfortable but for a couple of nights were okish. Would be great to have bigger or a second sofa in the living room as there was not enough space to be comfy for 4 adults, despite the niche under the staircase. Also, the chairs in the kitchen might need changing as they were a bit loose.

The very narrow driveway and the variable availability of alternative street parking are really an issue. Furniture is dated. A dryer would have been handy.
