Residence Cala Rossa

Our stay at Residence Cala Rossa felt like stepping straight into a fairy tale. The entire place has a kind of quiet magic woven into it — a peaceful corner of Sardinia where time slows down, the air feels softer, and nature wraps around you like a warm embrace. The residence itself is calm, relaxing, and beautifully secluded, surrounded by lovely Mediterranean plants, red rocks glowing in the sun, and paths that lead you gently toward the sea. If you love silence, tranquillity, and breathtaking views, Cala Rossa is absolutely for you. Every evening gifted us unbelievable sunsets, the sky melting into shades of gold, rose, and deep orange. And the water… simply extraordinary. Crystal clear, warm, and shimmering, inviting you for a swim at any moment of the day. It felt like the sea was always smiling at us. Cala Rossa is not just a place to stay — it’s a place to breathe, to slow down, to reconnect with nature and with yourself. A magical corner of Sardinia that stays with you long after you leave.

The nearest shop or restaurant was about 8–10 minutes away by car, which meant that without a vehicle, getting essentials or going out for dinner would be difficult — not impossible, but definitely inconvenient. Cala Rossa is wonderfully peaceful, but that peace comes with a bit of isolation. There was also an additional fee for bed linen and towels, so we had to bring our own. It’s not a big problem, but it’s something you need to plan for, especially when travelling by plane. And then… the coffee situation. The coffee machine used a brand of capsules that I couldn’t find anywhere, no matter how many shops I checked. A whole week without a proper morning coffee was a challenge — especially in a place where slow, peaceful mornings are part of the charm.

Abbastanza vicino al mare, raggiungibile con una piacevole passeggiata. Vista davvero bella anche se il mare si vedeva in lontananza. Nel nostro alloggio era disponibile sia la lavastoviglie che la lavatrice!

Il complesso di case è un ex villaggio turistico un po’ lasciato a sè, nessun bar per una buona colazione nelle vicinanze. Sei obbligato a prendere la macchina per spostarti.

Posizione perfetta e adatta sia per una vacanza di vero relax che per una vacanza coi bambini. La struttura offre davvero tutto, dal chiosco in pineta per un gelato a spazi immersi nella natura davvero fantastici. La vista dall’appartamento e’semplicemente stupenda. L’host (Alex) disponibilissimo e davvero molto cordiale nell’ offrirti tutte le dritte possibili sulla location e sul luogo. Fantastico. Ci torneremo.

Letto matrimoniale forse un po’ piccolino.

Die idyllische Ruhe ist schön und friedlich. Der Besitzer Alex war toll und sehr freundlich und hat sich telefonisch sofort gekümmert, als wir kurzzeitig Bauarbeiten vor dem Haus hatten. Der Strand ist fussnah in 500 Metern zu erreichen, der allerdings sehr schmal und steinig ist. Wir sind immer nach Isola Rossa gefahren. Das Pinienwäldchen mit Bar oberhalb ist traumhaft mit einer phantastischen Sicht auf die Bucht!

Es fehlt jegliche Liebe zum Detail. Die Scheiben sind nahezu blind vor Schmutz. Bunt durcheinander gewürfelte Handtücher und ausgerissene Bettwäsche - für die wir satte 40 Euro bezahlen mussten - sowie die gesamte Einrichtung haben die besten Zeiten hinter sich und muten nach Studenten WG an. Bei zwei von vier Stühlen war die Rückenlehne durchgebrochen. Ein Tisch und ein Wäschetrockner auf der Terrasse sind so verrostet, dass es eine Zumutung ist, diese anschauen, geschweige denn benutzen zu müssen. Der Garten ist leider null gepflegt und sieht verwüstet aus, kein schöner Anblick zum gemütlichen Verweilen. Wir schlafen gerne hart, aber eine dünne Matratze auf einem Holzbrett ist schwierig und hat Rückenschmerzen verursacht. Kein Flaschenöffner, Korkenzieher, scharfes Messer, Schere, Geschirrhandtuch, Weingläser etc. Schlimm waren die Mücken, die uns jede Nacht den Schlaf geraubt haben aufgrund von fehlenden Mückengittern an keinem der Fenster oder Türen. Kleinigkeiten, die in der Summe aber ärgerlich sind, wenn man sich im Urlaub erholen will und für eine Woche quasi seine Monatsmiete ausgibt. Von Olga vor Ort, die wir um einen Korkenzieher gebeten hatten, haben wir bis zum Abkassieren der Bettwäsche nie wieder etwas gehört. Schade!
