Stunning views & sunrises from Sally Saracen

Loved that everything we needed was provided. From toiletries to cooking utilities.

During an evening stroll to the toilets, I did encounter a badger roaming and trying to steal the feed for the chickens.

We stayed in Sally Saracen, it was exceptional! The hosts were friendly and informative, all the facilities were clean and tidy and very close by to use. The view from our camp area was perfect and the whole atmosphere is very calm and peaceful.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable, could do with improving the inside of the tank by removing all the non essentials to make it more of a place to sleep, and add some electrics to the inside, to have a little light inside. We would love to come back but would choose to stay in the tepee next time.

Well, where to start. Who can say they've ever slept in a tank? A once in a lifetime, random opportunity and we're so glad we booked it. Its just simply epic. An old personal carrier tank equipped with a double bed. It has little side latched windows you could open, and a gorgeous view of the countryside and farm animals. We had our own little garden space surrounding the tank, a decent space with shelter to BBQ. Sit and eat and then a chill area with a chimnea/fire pit. Supplies were provided for the fire pit and bedding. There's also electric hook up supply. We loved it. The owners are so friendly and down to earth too. Friendly and chatty and very accommodating. The site is just lush and so quirky. There's plenty of kitchen space (2 kitchen areas) with refrigerators and a freezer. Gas hob, microwaves, kettles and toasters. With a little bar type area. Loads of seating areas too. And two toilets with one shower. There was plenty or toilet paper and even bathroom toiletries if needed. The farm animals were lovely too! We saw some sheep, pigs, ponies, chickens and a lovely fish pond. It was just glorious. If you like the outdoors and nature you should 100% book this place. It was also just a short drive away from the nearby town of St.Ives and only a 35 to 40 minute trip to Lands End which we ventured to. It was honestly amazing and such a fantastic experience.

There's nothing we didn't like. No complaints at all. The only thing I would say is its handy to bring along an extension cord if you're wanted to charge your things. We took one and it was handy, as we were able to plug our phones in for charging. There are ports nearby in the kitchen spaces, but if you're a bit paranoid about your phone being away from you, I'd recommend taking one. This isn't a negative either, just a prompt to say to take your own towels as a reminder.
