Shuka’s home is a unique gem in Shimoda. It’s Super spacious and beautiful. It has a rustic artist vibe that is unlike any place I’ve seen in Japan. Our family of 4, with two children had so much fun cooking, and being together at home here. Shuka is a helpful and kind host. I look forward to our return one day.

I like the traditional room, the location and the size of the room.
The isolation, you can hear what is happening outside.
