This was our second visit to the Yellow Rose and it did not disappoint. It's far enough out to get away from the crowds, but close enough to be convenient to the Big Store and restaurants.
We spent most of the time on the deck and each day was like a different season. Getting up before the sunrise let's you see that orange glow before the magnificent rise above the water. One day was like sitting by a lake...no waves or crashing sound of the water. But on this day, we were surprised at all the dolphins. Some were playing and breached the water. There was a fox, a flock of white pelicans, and persistent hawk that gave quite a display of nature.
The unit was clean with all necessities!

We will be back! Such a great location and layout for a fun and relaxing get away for a family. The closeness to the beach allowed us to easily haul all our beach toys without the experience being pained by a long walk. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed to take care of a family for meals, entertainment, and sleeping arrangements. Looking forward already to our return!

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I just had to on this one. Before our trip, I had a lot of questions. Every time I would email the property management I would get a email back within a hour. The beach House is right on the beach, literally. It is located in a quiet area with not a lot of beach traffic. We drove to Galveston one afternoon to go out to eat. Their beaches were packed! That really made me appreciate there is hardly anybody on the beach at our location. 10 people was the maximum number of people (at one time) I saw at the beach, where we stayed. The beach was clean. The house was in perfect condition when we got there. Everything was clean the beds were made, The kitchen ….had dishes, cups, bowls, cook ware….it was all there. I have rented probably about five beach houses over the years. This one is by far the best. I did have to call, after hours, regarding the code not working for the house when I got there, but they called me back within five minutes. I would rent this beach house again. The approximately 30 minutes drive from Galveston was worth it due to clean beach. Privacy and roomie house.

First, I want to say the home itself is beautiful and has the potential to be a 5-star rental with the right improvements. At first glance, everything looked clean and inviting, but it didn't take long to notice issues. Small roaches began appearing almost immediately—they were on the floors, cabinets, walls, ceiling, even in the microwave and outside. One even fell on my daughter while she was trying to sleep. When we got home, I had to shake out all of our belongings to make sure none came with us.
Additionally, as the floors got sandy and we swept, we discovered a surprising amount of black dog hair. The outside child/pet gate latch was completely rusted and unusable, and one of the bed pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor.
With proper extermination and more thorough cleanings, this property could absolutely be a 5-star stay.
