The breakfast was good, although only bread could be offered, as there was no electricity.
Since Port Elizabeth is experiencing frequent water and power cuts, the guesthouse could have been better prepared for such an eventuality (there was a bad thunderstorm on 18 March):
(a) bottled water could have been on sale/offered
(b) a generator or solar heating would have allowed guests to boil the kettle or use the microwave.

Neat, clean and very modern
There was a guest’s child that would walk into our room and just throw himself on our bed and wouldn’t leave until we had take him out ourselves and then close the door. I think on your form, it should state parents with children should take responsibility for their child

The rooms are beautiful and cosy, and the neighbourhood is safe. The staff was very friendly and attended to our requests promptly :)
Upon arrival, I moved the furniture a bit to baby-proof it, and found dirt under the side table. The floors are extremely filthy, they don’t get mopped. Few minutes of walking barefoot, and my kids’ feet would be black! And this would be after the rooms are supposedly cleaned. Our other room had a faulty latch that locked itself, and the porch light wasn’t working, which was a bit dangerous for our mom who is a senior citizen as there were stairs there. Also hated the creepy crawlies. Lots of lizards (found a baby one in my room too) and we saw also saw a frog by the braai area. And on our booking there was a 2 burner plate in one room , and we got an airfryer instead, that we didn’t even know how to use :(
