I loved this accomodation. If you want to feel like living in a small traditional Japanese house, this is the place to be. It's quite a way from the city center on foot (doable if you're accustomed to it) but only a small 10 minutes away from the train that takes you to Kyoto station in another 10 minutes. I loved being able to take a proper bath after our full days of exploring. Having a washer/dryer also was a big plus.
Because of the nature of this house, there is not much room to keep/store your stuff and since most of the rooms have tatami, you can't just go dragging suitcases around, so be aware of this before you book. We managed just fine and had no problem with this, but fair warning to others.

A beautiful traditional house. Very clean, lots of space, close to supermarkets and the next station. All in all a very nice experience.
