About this house rental
The ultimate two family getaway, this peaceful vacation home is ideal for families or old friends. Some of the best beach walking on Whidbey Island with an ideal location for either North Whidbey (Deception Pass, Mt. Erie, Dugualla, the Farm Stand) or South Whidbey (wineries, Useless Bay, pies & bagels).
Just 10 minutes to the Island's Wal-Mart, Safeway, etc, within Instacart and other delivery service range, not to mention legendary Oak Harbor family spots like Chris' Bakery, Island Cafe, Popsies, etc.
Bald eagle nest in tree next door... they soar over the front yard all day... and consistent whale spotting from the yard.
The main features of this home are unbeatable views of Skagit Bay from nearly every spot in the home, a roomy ~3,000 sq ft of space, wraparound deck, and a large yard and outdoor area. There is also a dedicated closed-door, quiet office space available, with desk, to extend your visit into a workweek.
Served by Xfinity 1-Gig internet, natural gas to the grill and fireplaces, two ovens, two dishwashers, green egg, firepit, and Breville espresso machine.
Since this is a wonderful and happy community, we are very focused on maintaining the peaceful feel with no loud parties, late night commotion, or events. The charm is the peacefulness, tranquility, and warm vibe of this community. While laughing kids running around the yard highly encouraged, please, no wedding or graduation gatherings, large holiday events, reunions, etc.
The property is high above the beach, so it requires a ~400 yard walk descent to beach access point. We would love to share our vacation oasis with your family! Bring your golf clubs, your hiking boots, and sunscreen…

This house was great for my extended family group. There was plenty of space both inside and out. My kids, ages 6,6, and 8, really enjoyed the large patio and swing set. The downstairs basement was perfect for the kids, and my husband appreciated the office area as he did have to work during our visit. Having lived on Whidbey for many years we were familiar with the neighborhood and it didn't disappoint. It's a quiet location and our brief interactions with the neighbors were friendly. We will be back to Whidbey at some point and would definitely stay here again!
My only recommendation would be dressers in the bedrooms, as I like to unpack and not dig through bags/suitcases.

Fantastic property! Plenty of room for 6 adults to spread out. Everything we needed was provided- great communication- we hated to leave! Highly recommended

Great house for two families with 4 kids under 8! So many spaces to spread out, but cozy and welcoming for all eight of us. We loved walking on the beach and playing in the big yard. The house has ALL of the amenities, kitchen is fully stocked. Only problem is that now I want an espresso machine. Not super close to town, so pack in your food and such if you don’t want to spend extra time in the car. Loved the proximity to Deception Pass!

We had such a wonderful time here! Felt like our home away from home. The view is unbeatable, we watched the sunset every night while roasting s'mores! Perfect for families with kiddos!
