Mourne Country Cottage

Beautiful rural area but still 5 mins from local town of warrenpoint everything that you would need for our week stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house itself is nice seems to be maybe some work been done as there was pollyfiller all in the walls and door frames.

I took my mother and father in law here they travelled the whole way from Wexford , my mother in law has just had a triple heart bypass 3 months ago and we were looking somewhere nice and cosy to stay. However the postcode on the booking details is wrong, we had to stop people on the road to try and find the house. When we got to the house there was definitely no cleaner in as there was mouldy onions in the drawer, the cooker was filthy aswell as the microwave. There are dead flies on the window sills and thick dust on the plants. I took a blanket from the cupboard for my baby to lie on in her cot and the blanket had stains all over it. I changed the bedsheets on the bed and the mattress is an absolute disgrace there are all colors of stains on it, stains on the carpet on landing. The back yard had big weeds growing all over it there was no maintenance at all in it. We ended up only staying one night because my mother in law cannot get any infections on her wounds and when we seen the mattress we were sleeping on was just sickening. Such a shame too because there is so much potential in the place just not enough maintenance. I have photos of quite a few things we seen and smelt in the house. Such a let down I really wanted it to be a lovely get away but it just turned into us being afraid to touch anything, cupboards/ banisters ect haven’t been cleaned in a while. I tried to sanitise every thing we were touching. We had to eat out for the two days because the oven /grill was just rotten the trays were thick with grease. Save your money people or else pay cash on arrival and look for yourself as if I had of known this before I paid online I wouldn’t have been giving a penny for it.

Everything was exceptional, the house, the facilities, furniture.. all top quality, super modern, gorgeous. But the location and views were what was so special, looking out over the fields, mountains all around. Our host was very accommodating and communication was excellent. This stay was excellent value for money, Warrenpoint and surrounding areas are stunning and we would love to return!

Nothing, all perfect

The property was in excellent condition,the bedrooms were spacious and had great mattresses. Plenty of towels and a wonderful bathroom. The kitchen is very modern equiped and the lounge was so comfy with two large settees,a large chair and t.v. Both washingmachine and tumbledrier helped in in the very wet weather we had. The views from this property are amazingly,so peaceful ,which we found a great place for walks in the area A gracious host who was at hand for any quiestions we had. We'd love to go back in the future if we can.

A great location with excellent views of the Mourne Mountains. The morning and evening views were amazing and good photo opportunities.

Lovely spot. Plenty of space. Quiet. 30 min walk into town to the song of black birds and baah lambs. Large kitchen with most all need in it. Parking. Clear info on heating etc

Only picky wee things - few more coat hangers. Corkscrew.
