Suites-Xenonas "Alexandra's Coffee House"

Ein absolut wundervoller Aufenthalt! 🌞 Wir waren im Alexander Café Haus auf Zakynthos und hätten uns keine bessere Unterkunft wünschen können. Die Vermieter sind unglaublich lieb, herzlich und hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Sie haben uns tolle Tipps für die Insel gegeben und standen uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Dank ihrer Unterstützung haben wir viele schöne Orte entdeckt, die wir sonst vielleicht verpasst hätten. Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich, sauber und perfekt zum Entspannen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit hier und werden definitiv wiederkommen

The husband and wife hosts of Alexandra's were so kind and inviting. They've done a wonderful job beautifully renovating his family's former coffee shop and salon. Upon arrival, a carafe of homemade rosé wine awaited me. The house contains a comprehensive number of amenities. The hosts really thought through what a traveler needs. My favorite part of the visit was sitting just outside the front door at the apartment's cafe table and watching the town life go by. I did this in the evening with their tasty wine and again in the morning with coffee. I'd highly recommend a visit to Alexandra's.

In the bathroom Alexandra's had bamboo-like bathmats which were very handsome, but slippery. I mentioned this to the hosts upon leaving and they said they would replace the mats. Also, and this is not a complaint, Volimes is a very small, quiet town on Zakynthos. This is exactly what I wanted, but if you want a town where there is more activity, this may not be your place. I had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant recommended by the hosts. If you want to cook, the apartment's kitchen is very well supplied.

Volimes is a quiet little villlage in mountains with nice and friendly people. In the middle of it, there is this very cute little house covered with grape wines, with recently reconstructed interior. Everything was perfect, bed was comfortable despite its' vintage look, kitchen was sufficiently equiped. Dionisis welcomed us with bottle od wine and explained us everything in detail. Despite not speaking any english, the communication was very smooth, he was well prepared and was writing us/speaking to us via Google translator in our mother language (big admiration for that). He gave us a lot of good tips on trips and places to visit. Place was ideal for our explorations of the northern half of Zakynthos. There is a shop, bakery and restaurant right around the corner and on working days there were also cars stoping before the house selling bread and fresh vegetables directly from a farm, so if you hear a car honking, run out with money ;) basically, you can sit before the house and let the breakfast come to you. Overall we were very satisfied, our stay there was much better than any of other 3* hotels we stayed in afterwards on Zakynthos.
