The apartment was so central and convenient and everything was in walking distance. We could pop out for an hour or two, come back for our siesta, then go out again. We had a lovely Juliet balcony overlooking the back street/car-free lane so we could watch the goings on in this part of the old town. Even a parade went past on Sunday. The apartment had everything we needed, clean, comfortable and well equipped.
As it’s located right in the heart of the old town, it was noisy in the evenings and into the night. It didn’t bother us as we know León has a vibrant nightlife. Also if you have a car you can’t park near the apartment unless you prepared to pay. However this is the case for all properties in the old town. That said we found a free space on the other side of the river near the station and you can park easily and for free in the modern areas to the east and north of the city centre.
