Les Cottages de Montmartre - Secret Courtyard

Location near/in Montmartre The actual apartment was lovely. The instructions to enter and leave were clear. The apartment is clean, modern and has good facilities. I'd stay again without hesitation. Lots of bakeries and restaurants in immediate vicinity and a short walk (uphill/steps) to centre of Montmartre and Sacre Coere

The only issue was no air con but Paris was unusually hot at 35° We didnt realise it would be so hot so hadnt even considered needing it but it would have been welcomed. They provided two fans which were welcomed. Other than that we loved it.

Lovely interesting little property, an adventure in itself, nicely designed and thoughtful touches, great little courtyard with the fragrance of the star of jasmine to greet you in the courtyard as one comes and goes, a lovely touch. Helpful tone in the instructions for the apartment and responsive to queries when in the instance we asked a question and checking out could not be easier. Climbing up the ladder into the bed was reminiscent of adventures as a youngster and a good bed ensured a good night's sleep :) A lovely spot in every regard from our standpoint.

The surroundings are very lively with cafes and restaurants. It's very close to the metro station and also close to a supermarket. It was very clean and had almost everything you would need.

Climbing the stairs is fine, they're a bit steep, but going down is difficult, especially at night, because the toilet is downstairs.

Close to stores and public transportation

The stairs to the gallery bed are actually a ladder and there is no standing room near the bed. Very thin walls. The window and door are ok for natural lighting unless you don’t like people walking on the street looking straight into your place. Temperature regulation is tricky, especially in the gallery. The courtyard turned out to be very small but there weren’t too many guests so we managed.
