About this farm stay rental
Perfect for a large group gathering, whether it be a reunion or getaway with friends or family, this former boarding house/farmhouse offers eight bedrooms and three full baths, easily accommodating everyone. Located on 110+ private acres, you can hike, fish, kayak, birdwatch, and play yard games during your stay. You'll be busy both on the property and in the surrounding area; nearby is Windham Mountain Ski Resort, local breweries, restaurants, antique stores, and flea markets--and even a drive-in movie theater.
You'll be able to wake up to the sound of the birds and enjoy the incredible mountain views with a cup of coffee. And end the day with incredible sunsets and s'mores!
Located in the northern Catskill Mountains, we are just 40 minutes from Albany, 25 minutes from Windham, 35 minutes from Hudson and 2.5 hours from NYC or Boston.
Note that the property's historic post and beam barn has been converted for use as a gathering place for weddings, baby showers, birthday parties and family reunions (see more info about our barn at Bluebirdfarmweddings.com). Use of the barn is available with your rental for a separate fee.
The property has been in the family since 1945, and we are excited to share it with guests that will love and appreciate it as much as we do.
Please note that this property does NOT have central air conditioning. We do have window air conditioners in most of the rooms, so if central air is very important to you, please choose another VRBO property.
Also note that we have satellite internet (Starlink) connection/wifi and cell phone coverage is spotty if you aren't using wifi, Verizon seems to work the best.

We rented this house over Thanksgiving 2022 for a large group (8 adults & 4 teenagers). We also cooked TG dinner at the house.
The hosts are exceptionally nice and accommodating. The house itself is huge. There are multiple smaller lounging rooms for a large group to relax in. The living room and kitchen have spectacular view over a lake with the Catskills too.
The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking essentials and has a large dining table that fit 12. We loved the house and had a great vacation here.
