Apartamento Varandas do Sol by Algarve Holidays

Lovely large apartment with two large bedrooms, two full bathrooms with baths in both and a small separate shower room with toilet. Good air-conditioning throughout with separate control remotes for each room and a very large balcony with lovely furniture. The view was beautiful, especially in the evenings when you could see the lights of Vilamoura and Albufeira. Small but fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Algarve Rentals had left small packs of dishwasher tablets, washing pods, dishwashing soap & counter cleaning spray. They’d also left small hand soap and shampoos in the bathrooms. Towels were fresh and clean. As we were staying 10 days Algarve Rentals had arranged a bedding & towel change halfway through our stay. There are two lovely little cafe/restaurants just across from the apartment which were great for breakfast. There is also a well stocked Spar beside them. Vilamoura was about a 15-20 minute walk from the apartment, although it was only about 10 minutes to a lovely cafe (Vilalatina) just after the Galp Petrol Station. It was also only 10-15 minutes walk to the Family Golf Park which was great fun. Book online for a discount. The walk was through a lovely paved park area which provided some shade on a sunny day. Bolt & Uber usually cost about €5 for the four of us to go in & out of Vilamoura Marina. I would definitely book again with Algarve Rentals as they paid a lot of attention to the small details that make a holiday great.

Our biggest concern was one of health & safety! The railings on the balcony are extremely low! As most of our party are well over 6ft tall, and we were on the sixth floor, we were concerned anytime anyone went near the railing. It would have been nice to have towels for the pool, but we were only provided with one bath and one hand towel per person. Also, the pool area didn’t seem to have a separate toilet area - if it did it was well hidden! We had to come back to our apartment to use the bathroom which was a bit of a trek and put us off using the pool as often as we might otherwise have done. The lifts were a bit ‘clunky’ and quite small. All four of us couldn’t fit in the lift without the alarm going off! We may be a little overweight but not that much! 😁. However, there are two lifts and they do arrive pretty quickly. The WiFi signal was great in the main room, but it was poor elsewhere and kept cutting out if you were in the bedroom furthest from the living area. A few more good sized wine glasses would have been nice. Personally I prefer to be closer to the Marina and/or the ocean, but that is no reflection on the location of this apartment.

It was a tad confusing because we did not become aware of an email sent by the oner on the day we travel from Lisbon to the Algarve. but eventually we went to the office of the company in Almancil a couple of miles from Vilamoura to get our keys The apartment was very comfortable on a 6th floor with fabulous views ouver Vilamoura and the Seafrom a large veranda sunny and spacious ideal for relaxing, having a meal or watching the beautiful sunsets over a distant Albufeira, with a nice drink, or view the sun rise with breakfast and Yates and fishing boats under a blue sky sailing around the coast line.

The lifts in the complex ware very small and in need of a revision on the braking system, they jerk on stop in at lower level and on the 6th. floor bring a sense of impending failure and a rapid arrival in the garage. The service ticket is in date and must be deemed safe, but it scared my family and we know that can be made moor comfortable for all the users.

Very bright comfortable and spacious.

Location to close to the road it was horrendous the noise all day was terrible spoiled holiday.
