The property was in a lovely village, very quiet at night. A very friendly family that dealt with a couple of issues very promptly. Air conditioning was very welcome. Excellent wifi - important for young people like our grown up kids.

The downstairs bedroom is a little warm in hot periods. Parking is always going to be an issue in this location, but it was fine. August means that restaurants can have very limited availability.

L'emplacement dans une vielle maison authentique de village est très dépaysant. Le logement sur 2 étages est très spacieux et met à disposition 2 espaces de vie et dispose de 2 salles de bain. Possibilités de rejoindre le pont du gare à pieds en passant par un chemin romain accessible non loin du logement.

C'est juste esthétique mais les finitions pourraient être meilleures, les matériaux utilisés sont pourtant de qualité. Les fenêtres du rez de chaussée donnent directement sur la rue qui n'est cependant pas très passante. C'est compliqué de se garer près du logement mais nous nous garions au cimetière qui était relativement proche.

We fell in love with this true french experience of hospitality in a spacious and authentic home. It was a former bakery, and part of the history has been preserved. Like the beams and tile floors are over 200 years old! The house was very clean and well equipped. Washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker and cooker were present, but if you don't feel like a chef the beautiful village has enough dining to offer (on the high end). The owner had some great tourist information, responded very quick and listened to our requests. We felt very welcome and we would recommend you try it out.

The house didn’t have air-conditioning and because of a bull festival we couldn't always park close by. Which can be challenging in the old narrow streets. But this was part of why it's been such a charming visit in Castillon-du-Gard :)
