Fantastic 4 night break in River View Berwick Upon Tweed

Fantastic property on the quay walls in Berwick. Very tastefully decorated with accommodation spread over several floors. We used as a base for travelling up to Edinburgh for Oasis concert. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a well appointed kitchen, dining room, 2 sitting rooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms with comfy beds and a great view over the river. Near to town (walkable) for shopping or eating out as will as walks around the town walls, fortifications and pier. We loved the whole thing!

Beautiful Georgian Townhouse that allows for a relaxing and comfortable stay

The property was excellent for us as a family during our stay it had every thing we needed. The way it was decorated complemented the Georgian period of the property. It was well located for both parking and getting into town

The first floor bedroom we were unable to block the light out as the shutters/curtains did not cover the arched area so we had sunlight coming into the room from 4:30am. just a slight issue that could be looked at

Exceptional

The house is quite simply amazing! Just like a boutique hotel that you can share with friends. Spotlessly clean, quirky (but comfortable) furnishings, and has everything you need for a great stay. The location is fantastic with great views across the river and within a 1 minute walk of the bars and restaurants (yet far enough away not to hear them). We had 2 cars and parking wasn't an issue, one with the permit and one in the car park 2 mins away. Very, very highly recommended.

Riverview townhouse in Berwick-Upon-Tweed

Great location overlooking the Quay walls. The house was beautiful and very quirky with fabulous interior design and decor. We were finding new things all the time. Had everything and more than we needed. Spotlessly clean. Didn't want to leave. Nina and Steph were amazing and on the end of the phone/text if needed. Would definitely stay again.

More than meets the eye..

The pictures on the advertisement do not do justice to this amazing old house. It has been restored impeccably and is a joy to stay in.

There was nothing I could truly say I didn't enjoy. Even the staircases were fun.

Very enjoyable stay and we would stay again but maybe in the one bedroom apartment next door.

The views of the Tweed especially from the top floor looking at the three bridges was stunning. Location very close to the Town centre etc very convenient. Loved the quirky decor especially the wallpaper in the dining room.

It was too large for the two of us really but as we were let down by another property this was what was available at short notice. Not too keen on the Antelope's head in the dining room but that's a very minor gripe.

Stunning townhouse in an excellent location, with a great host

The townhouse was in such a great location and a 2-min walk into town but yet you felt you weren’t in the town centre. The house itself is stunning, and very well equipped. The owners/host had thought about everything, and all furnishings were excellent quality and high standard. The layout of the house suited us perfectly. Nina, the host, was brilliant and when something broke she got it sorted within the hour, she was very quick to respond to any message and was extremely helpful.

There isn’t a lot we didn’t like! The only suggestion I have is to change the pillows in the master as the ones I had weren’t too comfy, and to add a teapot!

Special place to stay

Riverview in Berwick Upon Tweed is a stunning property and we really enjoyed our stay. The house has a lovely location and most of the rooms have views of the river and the many bridges. It is a short and easy walk into the town centre (with a nice selection of independent shops and cafes tucked away in some of the back streets). The house is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated - unusual but very tasteful and everything was of high quality. Every room was very special and we had several favourites. The kitchen was well equipped. The shower was strong and a delight and the bath in the second bathroom was a treat after a long day of walking. All in all, we are absolutely planning to stay again and are looking forward to being able to do so!

We had a spot of bother with the Aga as the previous visitors had turned it off (whereas Aga cookers should be on at all times) but Nina was very responsive and we eventually worked out a solution between us. One thing to note is that there are limited supermarket options within walking distance so something to keep in mind if you don't have a car.
