Wonderful wonderful stay, great location, free parking on site, right on the river, Ryan and Katja are the best hosts and make for a comfortable kind environment! Clean rooms, plenty of pillows, a heater for the cold nights, two showers and bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a great breakfast with tips from Ryan and Katja!

Wonderful choice near Bled and where you start the Mt Triglav hike & super hosts.

What kind, informative and overall great staff. Location right on the river and just outside Bled with a local market and restaurant within easy walking distance. The positivity of the owners Ryan and Katja really creates a super atmosphere that is infectious and makes the place hard to leave. Easy to make your meals on the premises as well and also solid breakfast as well. GREAT VALUE! So kind to let folks do their laundry or leave a car for a day or 2 if out hiking Triglav.

Occasionally the limited number of bathrooms could leave you waiting just a bit.

Friendly hostel with great hosts

The hostel has 4 dorm rooms sharing 2 bathrooms, which seemed to work fine for the 4 days I was there. What makes this hostel special is the culture that Ryan and Katja have created. An ample buffet breakfast is provided (with cereal, yoghurt, toast, fruit, eggs, cucumber, tomatoes and home made cake)and guests can choose to sit at the table and talk (most do), or sit in one of the many outdoor spaces. Guests are also able to cook their own meals. Both Ryan and Katja are super friendly and always available to give travel tips. This is a quiet, friendly hostel run by 2 people who care about what they're doing. I'd definitely stay there again

Nicest hostel I have ever been to.

Great host, very friendly. Great place, nice garden with hammocks near the river and a terrace to connect to other guests in the evening. Great location as a starting point to a hike in the Julian Alps, to visit the gorgeous gorges around, or to visit Bled by Bus or even on foot (ca. 1 hr to walk).

If you are fine with sleeping with multiple people in a dorm, then there is really no disadvantage to stay here.

definitely one of the best hostels i’ve ever been to. i had such an amazing experience - ryan and katja are the best hosts ever. they do such an amazing job bringing people together. it’s clear how much they care about each person’s experience at the hostel and in life. they are so easy to talk to and go far out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable. 100% recommend and wouldn’t consider anywhere else to stay when i (hopefully) return to bled someday! all the best in the meantime :)

Riverside chill is cozy, welcoming, comfortable, and in a beautiful location.

Everything! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the building is cozy and welcoming, and the plethora of outdoor seating options (even hammocks by the river) were simply amazing. I loved the location so near Vintgar gorge, too! I will absolutely return here, it was just what I needed.

A beautiful Haven with the kindest hosts!

The best hostel I’ve ever been to! The hosts Katja and Ryan were very welcoming, always there for any information on the best tourists spots, hiking spots and everything! I celebrated my birthday there and they made it very special, I was very touched by their warmth and kindness and commitment to each guest who came. They’ve created a beautiful space for people all around the world to escape and find peace in the heart of the mountains of Slovenia. With so many cosy spots to relax in, hammocks are situated near the river, little sofas and chairs around the property where you can sit privately and with others and enjoy the sound of the birds and river passing by. There’s a lovely terrace with lights to hang out at during the evening, a mini herb Garden to use for your meals. A living room with games and books and a big kitchen and cupboard and kitchen space to allow you to cook your own meals. Everything is extremely homely and it makes a huge difference for a hostel, it brings people together and makes them feel at peace.

There is no fault in this place at all! And if there ever was, the hosts are always open to any feedback so don’t be afraid to ask!

Beautiful location and lovely hosts :)

I love this hostel with my whole heart. It’s truly like entering the family with the most gorgeous river to chill beside and the amenities were pretty good!

It is far from the centre of Bled so it can be a bit of a hike to get to the centre for all the action. I took the free shuttle to Vintgar Gorge each day as the buses were either not running due to it being a Sunday or were too infrequent to rely on.

amazing hostel!

this was the best hostel i’ve ever stayed in, after visiting many. the hosts are amazing and really make the place feel like a home. the surroundings are obviously beautiful, and getting into central bled is way easier than i expected. there’s a social, friendly energy to the hostel that makes the stay even better.

Beautiful stay on the river, great location and good distance from lake bled and other attractions!

The location was perfect! About a 10-15 minute walk from bus stations to take you to lake bled. Also a convenient walk to Spodnje gorge. The riverside chill was the perfect place to come back to and relax after exploring. So many cozy spots, I loved reading by the river on the hammock! Katja’s breakfast spread is also really impressive! Her homemade bread blew me and the other guests away every day!

Wonderful home by the river

Ryan and Katja are extremely friendly and helpful, you feel like you are at your friends house. The property is located in very lovely spot close to the beautiful river. The complimentary breakfast is great, the location if you want to visit Vingtar Gorge is excellent.

Incredibly nice and helpful owners. We had a grill dinner, everything we needed, and even more was set up for it by them before we arrived back in the evening. Their helpfulness and knowledge of the possibilities in the surrounding area is unsurpassed. Great breakfast.

Sweet hostel with extra friendly hosts and delicious breakfast

The hosts were both super friendly when I arrived and were more than happy to make additional arrangements for my dog to stay. The hostel itself was really sweet and in a nice location- close to Bled whilst still being in nature. Breakfast was included in the price which was also really good!

The only fault I had to pick was that it was across the river from a wood yard, meaning I got woken up at 6am by people working with machinery.

Comfortable, homely stay!

As everybody says - amazing hosts! My stay was so lovely. This place is slightly out the way but you just have to plan your buses and you'll be fine. Comfy beds with proper mattresses (a luxury for backpacking imo), the place felt very homely. Will certainly stay again if I plan another trip to Slovenia.

It was such a great time ! it’s a tiny hostel like a guest house where we feel at home ! Definitely if I’m going back to Bled, I will comme back at this place ! the breakfast is the moment where we share great moment with the others, I was always enjoying this and excited to meet new travelers ! the food is included and nice, it’s a warm place ! the host was so friendly with us and had always great advices for enjoying the best place for hiking ! I hope I will see an other place like that soon ! the best hostel I saw since a long time 😊 Initially I should stay one night, finally it was 4 nights more, thank you I recommended it to all backpackers and travelers who looking for a real Slovenian place to stay close to bled 😉

I loved the warm welcoming of the owners, they were super helpful and generous! Super dog friendly which was a big + for us. They got an incredible spot by a river with a big garden, a bbq and even a campfire! Everything there is setup to have a great time !

Beautiful and comfortable property! Katja and Ryan are wonderful hosts. Anyone who has solo-travelled can appreciate the love and effort they’ve put into their work. Highly recommend staying here whilst in Slovenia! Would also recommend hiring a car.

Loved my stay here!

Ryan and Katja are wonderful people, dedicated to making everyone's stay the best by providing great tips and suggestions! The facilities are super clean, comfortable and in a fantastic, relaxing location. Others had a campfire and even played yard games. As others have said, breakfast was fabulous - Katja's homemade apple bread and Ryan's coffee were delicious! Highly recommend this great hostel!!

Exceptional

Ryan and Katja were very friendly, welcoming and approachable. I felt at home during my 4-night stay. The hostel is located in a beautiful location just by the river, very close to Vintgar Gorge, Triglav National Park and a 25-min walk from Bled ( or 10-mins by bus). Beds were great, the outdoor area was big with direct access to the river, greenery and even hammocks. I was impressed by the cleaniness of the hostel and the great tips from Ryan and Katja, they were really interested in interacting and advising on plans. I would surely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, chilled experience close to Bled.

Absolutely incredible!

The hosts were absolutely amazing! Canadian and Slovene hospitality at its finest. It was borderline comical how nice the hosts were. You will be treated with reverence. Also, the breakfast is amazing! Homemade zucchini bread, cereals, eggs, yogurts, fresh fruits and veggies. My oh my! @mooresmissdventures

Everything was amazing. I knew within 5 minutes of arriving that I was going to rate this place a 10. The hosts (Rory and Katja? Sorry if I got that wrong, I’m terrible with names) were absolutely amazing: went above and beyond to make my stay great. I’ve never stayed at a nicer, more welcoming and pleasant hostel before. My only regret is that I didn’t book for longer.
