Throughout the summer, Ulverston has a variety of festivals, from a flag-raising and walking festival to an art and music festival, and in late November, the town hosts the world-famous Dickensian Christmas celebration. Fantastic hikes in scenic scenery with views of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District can be found all around the city. The park's various points of interest can also be quickly and conveniently accessible. Sand beaches and excellent birdlife may be found along the Furness Coast.
